LOL.... Great advert though - but forget the crappy car and other shite, I think I'd rather go to the scotch and whore party.... As long as his ex isn't going to be there:lol:

Insurance woes
Lancaster and Lynbrooks always came good on classic, agreed value policies. Footman James? They did give me a competitive quote (once) after I called a guy called Dave, after meeting him at the NEC one year. But the minimum in price difference was not enough to persuade me to change. Adrian Flux? Whilst they are a respected trader on here, I have to say that they were not even worth the 'phone call... Hell, I'm in my mid-40s, clean licence, live in a low crime area and the car has minimal modifications..... This year, I did a deal with Admiral - as I have my SLK and Julia's Land Rover on a multi-car policy with them - and they covered the Zed for a little over the £200 mark. All mods declared and all the benefits I had with Lancaster. Plus upon adding the Zed, I got even more money off the other two policies - which sealed the deal!! Otherwise, Carol Nash is always worth a punt too. As said, it's a veritable lottery with insurers sometimes. One may quote you happy one day and have you in tears the next....

Japanese Car and Bike Show - Museum of Power - Sunday 12th June.
Great pics there Joel - thanks for sharing mate! Looked like a good day - even despite the weather!! Richard:cool:

So who's taking their Z out for a spin this evening?
LOL - because I was busy enjoying the lack of traffic whilst driving my Zed.... .......That, and a little stomach-related issue; which meant I wanted (read needed) to be home as quickly as possible.....
-
So who's taking their Z out for a spin this evening?
Yup.... And yup....
-
What did you do to your zed today?
Yup - and we often have "his" room; either that, or the Thomas Hardy room....
-
Look what I bumped into today.
There is still a reasonable chunk in the museum grounds too - it's a great place to visit. We did MB world and the Brooklands Museum for my birthday a few years back - awesome day out!! The emotional part for me, though, was the Concord Experience..... Well worth it though! We should indeed look at Brooklands for a Southern meet; it's an ideal location and offers something for everyone:cool:

What did you do to your zed today?
Thanks Gaz..... And it just seemed to get better, the more it was driven - it was worth every penny of the fuel cost... I just need the rain to stop now, so I can give it a clean - it was pretty dusty after a week in the sun; and after passing through the odd downpour on the way home, it's looking pretty grimy. And I'll have to get those front brake pads replaced very, very soon!

So who's taking their Z out for a spin this evening?
I agree with Si...... It's always a good time to go out and do anything, when England is playing football; as you just know there won't be any crowds.... In fact, I thought the roads were quiet, for a Saturday, throughout the day. I drove home from Cornwall in the middle of the day and was able to make very good progress... And when I stopped at Sainsbury's late afternoon, it was pretty quiet in there too - almost like first thing in the morning, as opposed to peak time Saturday!

Pulling a fast one? Or just stupid...?
I reckon that too.... Most people don't know what the car is, let alone all the versions it came in outside the UK.....

What did you do to your zed today?
I returned from a sunny week in Cornwall - another 1,000 miles covered and the Zed did not miss a beat......

What did you do to your zed today?
Looking good Gary & June...... .....And the Zed...:cool:

What did you do to your zed today?
I need to do that with my Zed shortly..... .....Sure, it's had its regular routine servicing (oil, filter, new plugs etc) done courtesy of my local garage; and (as my next post will testify) I doubt there's much it's in need of. However since Jeff retired, it has not been given a proper health check from a ZX expert - so I reckon it's long overdue one!! Richard:cool:

brand new Top gear on BBC 2 now...
You're right too Chris; in fact most TV is pretty crap, that's why I can't be bothered to watch anything nowadays..... If I do sit down in front of the TV, I generally dig out my old A-team and Knightrider DVD sets and watch an episode or two.... And as for radio, Like Steve, I have DAB in all the cars and stick to Planet Rock or Absolute:cool:

want this!!

brand new Top gear on BBC 2 now...
I agree - and even more so because we are still forced, by law, to cough up £140-odd a year to fund it! The government should scrap the TV licence and make the BBC fund itself, in the same way commercial channels have to. There is nothing left to justify the licence fee in this day and age. This is Great Britain, a supposed free-world democracy; not Soviet Russia or some tin-pot 3rd world banana republic....
