WANTED - OEM dipped beam connectors with rubber covers
Does anyone have a pair of the OEM dipped headlight connector plugs, complete with the rubber covers please? I removed mine when I fitted HIDS back in 2009 and can't find them anymore.... Plus I modified the rubber covers to fit the HID upgrade and look OEM, so they'd be no good if I reverted back! I've just bought a pair of Osram LED H3 bulbs as I would like to compare them with the HIDs ๐ Thanks!

Bose System
Having just seen your post about buying that lovely grey UK spec Zed, I'd say you'll have the OEM Clarion amplifier on the rear speakers, which most UK-spec cars came with. So yes, if you want to upgrade your system without using the OEM amp, then you'd have to by pass it. As far as I know, you won't need a by-pass kit - you should just be able to re-wire the rear speakers. Which you'd no doubt be doing, when you install your after-market amp anyway! If you decide to keep the OEM amp, then all you have to do is ensure that the amp has a live power feed from the new head unit, otherwise the rear speakers will not work! The "Nissan-to-ISO" adapter kit does not facilitate this (it didn't when I installed a new head unit), so I had to bridge the connection from another live feed, on the head unit side of the adapter. I think I used the electric aerial one....

19 x 9 +35 or +25 for front?
35 offset "should" work on the front - but it will depend on the spoke pattern, as to whether they will clear the brake calipers. I initially tried 35 offset when I bought my Japan Racing wheels. Admittedly they were 8.5 x 18, but the flat spokes would not clear the stock calipers, so I had to go 25 offset instead. 35 on the rear will be fine though. My new wheels are 32 offset on the front (again 8.5 x 18), but the concave spokes give plenty of brake clearance. I have 9.5 x 18 on the rear, with a 35mm offset and they fit fine, the tyres (265/35) sit right on the arches.

Clean UK Spec Spotted
Great news - and welcome to the club....!! Looks like a lovely example - and well worth the money for a low mileage UK-spec manual with leather ๐

What did you do to your zed today?
I left the Zed snug and dry in my garage yesterday, as the weather was pants - but I did take it out for a little spin when I did the Sainsburys run the other day..... ......Any excuse to post another shiny Zed pic under the car park lights ๐

What did you do to your zed today?
Thanks Vig.... ๐ I have been looking into everyone's suggestions about spacers - I'll measure the distance between the front wheel and edge of the arch, to see what will fit..... The rears are bang on the arches though - I think maybe the camera angles give different impressions! I have found some Japspeed 15mm hub-centric spacers for about ยฃ75.... ๐

Berkshire newbie
Hi and welcome to the club mate! Whereabouts in Berkshire are you from - I'm over the border in Bucks, so probably not too far from you.... There's a little button you press to release the key, it's on the lock barrel itself. When you turn the ignition off, press the button and turn the key back one last notch and it pops out. If you only have one key, which one is it? The Zed originally came with three - one titanium, one spare with a black plastic trim and one valet key with red plastic trim. If you have the titanium or the black plastic trimmed key, you can order a blank from CZP and get it cut. Z32 Car Accessories :: Keys - Concept Z Performance Finally, regarding membership, you can only send a PM if you're a subbed member. If you have already paid, drop me an e-mail (richardsmith (AT) 300zx dot co dot uk) and I'll check/update as necessary... If not, here's the link to subscribe. What did you do to your zed today?
As I'm off today and the weather was nice, I gave my Zed a wash as it was covered in grime following the Bath trip on Sunday.... I then gave it a wipe-down with Chemical Guys Hydro Charge ceramic detailer. This is another great product from Chemical Guys, I'm under no illusion that it's a proper ceramic coating, but it does leave a good shine - and lasts at least a couple of months between treatments. I highly recommend it ๐ Any excuse for some shiny Zed pics ๐

What did you do to your zed today?
I used mine a little today - as we had to drop Julia's car at the local JLR dealership to diagnose an adblue fault.... ๐ .......But yesterday, we took the Zed on a 200 mile round trip to visit Bath Christmas market. It was the first test for my new tyres - and I have to say, on a wet M4, accelerating hard whilst changing lanes proved no issue for the big Bridgestones! I wish I could have said the same about the Michelin Pilot Supersports on my Z4 a week earlier on our (very spirited) drive to York!! #rear end out at XXXmph LOL So far, so good; albeit it might be one of the last proper outings until spring - depending on the weather ๐

I have to agree - despite being in the USA and Japan, my orders have always arrived quicker that most UK suppliers' despatches!
