What did you do to your zed today?
Oops - you're dead right JP.... Thing is, I was all set to take a pic or two - and then the heavens opened with the hale, the sleet and the snow.... So I slammed the garage door shut and ran indoors for cover

Freshly painted slicktop
Looking great mate!! And I do like that lower lip on the front bumper - finishes the OEM look off very nicely...

What connector is it?
So I guess you have your black car back from Darren's now...? Is there much still to be done Lee?

What did you do to your zed today?
Today, I removed the front number plate plinth, filled the hairline cracks and resprayed it satin black, to match my newly painted "moustache!"

Thats my Z !
I'd be asking for royalties Gary.... But that's just a great picture of your car - well worthy of any feature on the Z32. Nice one mate....

New exhaust - possibly....!
I saw them too - and whilst I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, they seem a little too cheap. They do appear to offer nice choice of tailpipes though; some look good, some not so. And they have two distinct prices - £340 or £470 - but without reading further, that could be the difference between delivered or fitted.

Dead right Mike... I initially thought the one I first posted was good value - but it's too much like the Japspeed. Plus I still prefer the OEM+ look of twin quad pipes. I'm calling RTec tomorrow to discuss - and will ask if there's a multi-buy discount...

How about this one.....? https://www.rtecshop.co.uk/quicksilver-exhaust-sports-system-for-300-zx-z32-twin-turbo-1989-to-20/prod_231240.html

PMSL - and don't worry mate; I'll not be getting a Japspeed…. I think their Z32 system went out of production a long time ago - probably for the very reason you suggest. The one I posted looked almost identical though - I'll give you that - it's made in the USA by an outfit called CX racing. It looks better quality than the Manzo, I originally thought it was... And I have been investigating the Billy Boat (B&B) systems too; as they seem to suit a Zed - Z1 sells that for around $1,095 plus delivery. However the welding on the BB looks pretty poor in the photos too.... I guess like everything else made in the USA, it's built to last until a week from next Tuesday.

Orbital polisher advice
Good advice Jim - and duly heeded mate. I've been happily hand polishing my cars for years, but I'm getting older and it's certainly becoming more effort... Honestly, that's the only reason for considering the change now:wink::biggrin: If it was a case of some serious detailing being required, I'd pick up the phone to a professional - and afterwards, I'd be content to carefully maintain the finish thereafter.... Until time and conditions necessitated another session!

Looks like you are dead right Pete....! Having done a fair few searches today, I could only reach the same conclusion.

Orbital polisher advice
Thanks for the write-up JP - most helpful mate  I did spot that - what's the difference; and what benefits would a DA have over a rotary, for a raw machine-polisher newbie like me:wink:

New exhaust - possibly....!
Will do mate!

New exhaust - possibly....!
I could JP - but that would mean either taking it off, or crawling under the car, either way, it's a lot of scrubbing up!! Plus there is a slight scuff in one of the tailpipes, like it's been filed. Whilst it's only small, I know it's there! Thing is, although I bought it new, it was for my red Zed, around 2004/5. The next owner removed it and fitted a single exit system, so I bought it back for peanuts and fitted it to my blue Zed. Complete with scrape - it hasn't bothered me until now... Cheers Jeff, I was thinking the same - as it's the Blue Flame version that I originally purchased! I also vaguely remember I had the option of oval tips back then too - which don't look too bad IMO!
