Erm your car will only work if it has one, i'd be worried if yer didn't have one. It's under a wooden board on the passenger side footwell and not expensive if you need to replace as many around second hand. Smithy

Don't worry mate, i've not heard of any problems caused by using just the TT ones, think about 99% of rebuilds are using them anyway. Am just doing something that is meant to be better and i like being different :) smithy

Looking to buy a 300zx!
Worth asking why a top end rebuild was done mate, bottom end is very common, top end ain't really. Also which garage in the UK did the work. Don't be afraid to say you'll come back to him if your really interested, you can then let us know how you get on and any more info given about teh work or the car itself. :) smithy

It's to do with a difference in the pistons themselves mate. I done this around 7 years ago now so it's hard to remember. If someone has a pic of N/A pistons and TT pistons to show the difference it might remind me lol Unless Peter Rosenberg is still around as he'd spend all night explaining it in great detail ;) smithy

Squirters
For how much they cost mate, it's worth doing. I bought mine from the US. I believe Z1 are offering great deals on OEM parts. Yes all zeds have squirters, the N/A sprays differently to TT ones and it's just a nice little upgrade to provide better lubing/cooling of yer pistons. Seeing as you kinda depend on the squirters working, i thought why not get new and better..... No expenses spared on this Zed :D Nowt is gonna happen if you don't do it, so don't panic, lol smithy

Squirters
You wopuld only fit them with forged pistons mate. N/A and TT squirters are slightly different in relation to the direction the oil is squirted :) Cheers Smithy

Doh! Indiglow
I've 2 invertors left! There's also a member of here who has them, i'll ask if he's happy for me to publish his name in case he can supply ? The original supplier of the invertors from the US was and is a complete waste of space, no idea what the gaurantee limit was on them. Are yours confirmed as a broken down invertor ? At the mo, funkyboogalooo's sills arn't wired up correctly or owt that he knows off. cheers smithy

Brembo rears anyone ?
Gotta say mate, if you'd just stuck the brembo's in your own section for sale, no one would have spotted your phone number on all the other items on ebay...........:o smithy

Paul - you came on this forum to seek being a trader I suggest you leave it at just that. You asked me to explain and I did: end off  My version differs from yours and i know for a fact it is not all correct, but I am certainly not getting into a argument over it. smithy

Certainly! Getgreddy was a trader here some time ago. Generally he gave reasonably good service and at heart wasn't a bad guy, however his goal was just money and not the people he sold to or the love they had for the car they owned. He didn't care if what he was selling was actually a copy from ebay and perferred to operate in private by PM so no one really knew what he was up to. He quite happily sold what he shouldn't and got involved in what he shouldn't and it was only a matter of time before it all caught up with him, which it did! When he finally left, he left a pile of crap behind him for his disgruntled customers to deal with. I've been here many years mainly as trader myself, i soon see when others come aboard just how they operate, usually by the skin of their pants! Of all those i've said would eventually **** off leaving a trail behind them, they have and from what i've seen and been told on the Aus forum, i predict the very same for you. I am of course happy to be shown am wrong, and man enough........ Now in your case what i posted at the begining of this thread was based on my personal experience of you, not what i've read in various posts. I politely posted on your thread that you were not able to offer smithys-place goods to your customers and why too, after you told them they could have anything from powertrix website in a big GB, which included the smithys products. You repeatedly sent me abusive PM's ( something your noted for) and tod me to delete the post, when i refused based on the fact your members were wanting the goods you couldn't supply and i was actually doing this for them, not you. You had the post deleted and yet still carried on with another PM. It WAS my business to say what i said, obviously given who makes the bloody things, ME! and i told you Caz racing had exclusive rights to these products for your country and New zealand and Charles park had the US and Canada. Anyone can see when they say something you don't like, especially about being corrected or shown cheaper prices etc, you spit your dummy out and i think you'll find that expression mentioned a few times over there. Now at the end of the day, i have no influence what so ever in you trading or not trading here, that's down to our committee, personally i think it would be a mistake and theres nothing i know off that you can supply at any significant reduction that can't already be purchased by our members themselves either on this board or through our sponsors. Finally i think this thread posted by hyper ( Ben i think ) is prety much a polite way of closing your business on the Aus forum and says it all for me  http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280515 Smithy

Anyone remember Getgreddy, meet the Aussie version of him  smithy

Ahh Street to strip  Welcome to a forum that encourages traders to respect each other's businesses! Generally they don't lose their rag either and spit the dummy out when pointed out their wrongs. Good luck! :nono: I wonder how many other traders over there will reccommend you to us........ Smithy

Air/Fuel Gauge
Well that buggered me, lol cos the ECU is a closed loop application you won't get a proper reading for the 1st 2000 revs. Mines wired into the loom at back of ECU but it certainly has 2 or 3 wires from it. Soz can't help in that case. smithy

Air/Fuel Gauge
Whilst driving or just on idle or both ? smithy

Well done kid :) So did you do some kinda presentation whilst there ? :D smithy

somebody got a bargain - rare 99spec switches
Lucky boy ;) can yer take a pic of yer harness for me mate ? If the 99 spec switches you got came out of a 99 model zed then you'll need to adapt one end to fit your series loom ( which i can help with ) if they came out of an older zed and already adapted, well done you :hyper: smithy
-
somebody got a bargain - rare 99spec switches
Correct! i've got the 99 spec switches and carbon surround and ordered from z32-zone their adapter kit, all fits except one plug and they claim that's the only variation they do for the adapter kit, so still trying to work it out, dohhh Good price on the ebay ones though, switches for both sides is just under 200 quid from nissan, yikes! smithy
