  1. Hmm JeffTT, man i know that name from somewhere, geez it will take me a while, but i'll get there :p Well done ;) smithy
  2. Must confess mate, it would have made greater sense for him to first strip/rebuild the engine that you bought, the ordered parts which generally take no more than a week, would then be there. After that you bring your Zed down, 1 engine out, 1 engine in, new coolers and loom and jobs a goodun in under a week ;) Oh and he asked for money up front before work was even started ?? Smithy
  3. Your right mate a proper set up, that's just part of the Zedworld set up mate. Looks more like a posh main dealer garage but without the high labour costs ;) Oh and Bird yes mate i did, keep forgetting to PM yer on them, but this week available.. smithy
  4. Phew thats alright then :p she's doing well. It's back to my daily drive at the mo cos my megane blew a headgasket, so enjoying it loads at the mo. Off road soon for the winter and a proper paint job, this time... Would Happily sell if someone say realy really asked me too, especially if it was female and she could use her powers to bribe me  smithy
  5. In what respect mate, a bad way or a good way or have yer spotted something in the pics :D smithy
  6. Do it mate, even brighter than most HIDS, proper chrome inserts with the xenon logo looks great on Black. smithy
  7. A farm, yikes! this how a Zed specialst should store yer Zed mate. Glad to see your moving forward though and certainly wish yer all the best luck in the world, cos if anyone derserves, you do :D Smithy
  8. Price seems to vary between garages, not massively different though. Depends where you live might determin. Just for example http://www.zedworld.co.uk/wizzz.html smithy
  9. I think so mate, cash back and then jobs a goodun then and yep mine will get sorted cos am going somewhere i know i can friggin trust, this time :D smithy
  10. Least if yer get the cash back, you gotta be back to square one and at 4K at the right place, your gonna get a good job ( says the bloke who paid 4K for a bag o shite, lol) Suffering with shrinkage, cracks and a few small bits of rust where i never had rust before, chipped black paint showing white underneath when it should have been protected and after an independant inspection, it showed the paint thickness is crap and laquer missing in places or just very thin! Mines gotta be done completly from scratch again. Good luck smithy
  11. Just search the word "spark plugs" on this forum mate, plenty of good info to read and am sure you'll think differently afterwards. ;) smithy
  12. As said, in fairness it is a nice tidy Zed and priced okay too. Without any bullshit it would be a good motor. Unless of course he really has no idea on exactly what the car has, that's happened many a time with imports. smithy
  13. Is a straight forward refund not on the cards Vijay ? your not happy and am sure independants would say it's crap, so cash back is the only way. If it's this bad now, think about 6 months down the line so is it worth them doing it again, should you trust em ? err no! Learn from my mistake fella, the dick who done mine re done things again and a few months later, i could cry. So 4K for the first one and now 2.5K to re do it in another garage this winter, highly embarassing and ****ing annoying! Smithy
  14. Sod that, claimonline which is just as good and costs a fraction of that mate. Have a word with UNO on here, he's the man to help with it :) smithy
  15. Would That be the "old" ztech as in Ryan ? smithy
  16. Remove petrol cap. Lift bonnet, look on drivers side, small sloping fuse box next to brake/clutch booster. Lift lid, pull fuse on the end ( also shown on lid) turn key a few times, done! smithy
  17. There won't be any error code because the LED is on permenant but only when the problem occurs. This can only be ECU/Chip problem or at very least wiring to/from ECU, however i doubt it personally. The only sure way to know is plug in another ECU chipped or not it don't matter and run it for either a few days or if the problem occurrs again, which ever is the sooner. It's an intermittent fault which seems to happen every couple of days or so. If it was the ECU temp Sensor, car would run like a bag of pooo with the extra fuel constantly being dumped into the engine to what it thinks, cool things down. smithy
  18. If it is alex, i've dealt with him from time to time and found him okay. I don't live anywhere near London, but if you want to email me with what ever questions you want to know etc, i'll ring him later tonight. He did try to sell his car here a few days ago, but he's now just a registered user so wasn't able to. smithy
  19. Oh yes much bigger and lots of new equipment too ;) smithy
  20. Thanks mate, phew after reading all that yep a few have had issues, however it is literally a few! The main author even admits using his brakes in race conditions whilst they were stone cold and they cracked right after he tried to stop. Most were all hardend racers in that thread. Still not good for DBA at the time though. Certainly no such issues on the UK version of skyline forums with DBA's especially with most Skyline tuners reccomending/Selling DBA discs. My money would still deffo be on the wiperslots, but if that has scared yer, then the 3G's will perform really good too ;) smithy
  21. With niggly little problems being sometimes the worst to cure, you could try Zedworld in Tamworth http://www.zedworld.co.uk/ or you could take a trip up the road so to speak and see Phil at Blackmoor Service Station 363 Manchester Rd , Astley, Manchester, Lancashire M29 7DX Hope that helps ;) smithy
  22. Yes and No. Brembo were commisioned to design the brake system on the GTR, as they often are from sports car manufacturers. The disc design/casting/material is not the same as say all other Brembo discs you see advertised. You often see Brembo discs advertised for various cars from something like 70 quid a pair, same company etc, deffo not same discs as as those that cost say 800 quid from the manufacturer. 3G discs are Brembo casts that are then machined by 3G to their own unique slotted design and this works very well, so you won't be disapointed if you use them. DBA, 4000 Series wiper slots for the GTR fitment, never known any issues with them even going back years, if you have a link to info, I wouldn't mind seeing it. The 4000 series are a very very good disc on the whole and if i was buying some now, i'd just choose these over the 3G for a GTR set up ;) Gold series, only the 4000 series and 5000 series have the DBA Unique Kangaroo paw ventilation system built into the disc which aids the cooling of the disc correctly. Gold series of any other grades (which includes Zed fitment) does not have this system and like many many other disc manufactures have had some problems with cracking because they are slotted and drilled, so nowt unusual there. I generally would only sell Zed fitment Gold series (non 4000 or 5000 series) for the Zeds rear brakes and not the fronts. I have had them on my rears for over 4 years now. HTH Smithy
  23. Front yes, back i believe is a bit more involved because of the hand brake set up. Not sure on the ins and outs tbh. Pretty sure AndyP has done the rears so he could answer that best for yer. Don't know anyone else who's done the rears at the mo other than him. smithy
  24. Yep no probs if fitting both the discs and calipers from the 350z. Make sure you use the 350z caliper bolts (14mm) and to fit, you simply drill the zeds 12mm hole ( hub to caliper) to the 350z's 14mm. Job done! smithy
  25. Labour varies between 180-220 quid and can be done by literally any competant garage. Uprated clutch wise, for the likes of the most common, RPS Sport street i think is 330 quid. hth smithy
