  4. Just looked at the left front brake pads, outside ones are worn a hell of a lot more than the inside ones, does this suggest seized pistons on the inside? When I replace the pads, should I be also be doing a caliper rebuild? if so, wheres the best place for caliper kits and standard brake pads? Thanks John
  5. Thats what I was thinking.......it must be some kind of non-petroleum based product I guess. Thanks again Paul, John
  6. I got my anti roll bar superflex bushes in the post today, it is not very clear if the paste they give you is to aid in getting the bushes into the housing, or if its for the inside diameter in contact with the roll bar. Thanks John
  7. Thanks Paul, Thats just what I needed. Cheers, John
  8. It soon will be time to get my zed mot'd. I saw on this forum an article that said do not have your car's brakes tested on the rolling road tester, due to possible damage to the diff. a) What do I ask the testing station about other equipment that they need to test without rolling road ? b) If they try to bullsh*t me and say they have a rolling road that is safe for lsd's whats my comeback ? Is there such a device ? Thanks John
  9. Oh... thats right, John
  10. Thanks Richard, Makes me feel better...........I'm driving a £34k car!! John
  11. I would never do it, but I have heard that it is ok to mix fully synthetic oil with standard mineral oil, due to the fact that "fully synthetic" oil is a bit of a "con", that its really just mineral oil refined one stage further, or something like that. Is this true? Thanks John
  12. How much did a zed cost new, lets say around 1992. JOHN
  13. Has anyone tried that Williams F1 carnauba wax ? From what I remember in the early days carnauba wax was the ultimate, a bit of hard work though. John

  16. When replacing front anti-roll bar bushes, is it best to drive the car up on ramps or jack the car up so the wheels are off the ground ? Thanks John
  17. Thanks, I guess I will have to get the micrometer out, I called Superflex, (Luke & Mike dont have any in stock) they say I need to tell them if its 24, 25, 26 or 27mm diameter. John
  18. Does anyone know the diameter of the front anti roll bar on a 1992 n/a Jap 300zx? Thanks, John
  19. One of the things I noticed from the picture is that there are a total of 5 pipe bosses to connect to, I cant seem to find 5 tubes goint to mine, unless I am missing something. I would be very interested to see how they all go together, I imagine it will be a week till you get yours, I think the seller says 10 day delivery. Cheers John
  20. Engine flush should not be needed, use a good quality synthetic, NO ADDITIVES, and change your oil and filter regular. There is a big difference of opinion on the grade, I personally think a minimum of 10/40, or maybe 15/50 in the summer. Non turbos will be fine with 10/40 Castrol Magnatec semi synth, mines a n/a, but last oil change I put Mobil 1 15/50, costs a bit more, but over the year its not a great deal is it. John
  21. Halfords have it sometimes. John
  22. Thats true about Jap tyres, I had an MR2 with Jap tyres, (Dark Angel) a Morris Minor could beat me cornering in the wet with those things. John
  23. James, I was looking for a connector, I cracked the weatherproof cover trying to get one of mine off. Let me know the cost (including postage) I will send a cheque off right away. Cheers, John
  24. Has anyone seen any comparisons between the performance induction systems and the Nissan one in terms of filtering quality ? I have seen the comparisons between various brands (the one which shows the Apexi best filtering and best performance. Thanks John
