  1. I use Autoglym - their clear sealer is great too after you have polished it. I tried Zymol, seamed ok, nothing special. The Halfords spray stuff in a yellow can, I think its called rubber and vinyl conditioner seams very good. John
  2. Craig, No problems at all leaving it outside, started up quick in those few below zero mornings. I live in a quiet neighbourhood, so I am not too worried about vandels. Now, if only I could stop the t-top from leaking, but thats a whole new story. John
  3. I leave mine in the driveway.........wont fit in the garage, I wish I had a bigger garage where i could work on the car as well. John
  4. Rob, Why is the 11c (Turbo one) longer than the 11 (n/a) John
  5. Thanks Bilky, - nice job, does'nt it make you feel good when everything goes right and you have successfully completed a repairs/modification. Look forward to seeing the pictures. John
  6. I got mine from Mike @ MJP (look on Traders Forum) - cant remember the exact price, about £70 I think. I'll bet its not the mount, more like ly to be the prop shaft centre bearing. John
  7. I just found their website: http://www.thinkauto.com/ John
  8. Thanks Bilky, Thats a good description of how you did it, if you can sort out some pics it would be great. I'm sure lots people would love to have a write up, including me. Where there any other hydraulic fittings or connectors needed ? When you say "in front of the existing oil cooler" I take it you mean the engine cooler? Thanks very much, John
  9. Bilky, I could use one of those, where did you get it from? John
  10. 100w bulbs are too high for your wiring, only way they would work would be to add a relay I think. And even then you would still have the heat buildup problem of the bulb in the assembly. Cheers John
  11. Barry, Not sure I understand when you say "no protection for UK sellers" - when you sell an item using Paypal, you get an e-mail saying that they have deposited the money in your account, you then can transfere it to your bank, where is the risk? Thanks John
  12. Justin, its about a 2 hour job (taking your time and being very carefull) to remove the instrument cluster, and reset the odometer. I just did mine last week (not to turn the odometer back but to fix a broken odometer, which was quite simple) When I bought mine the previous owner must have changed the kph/mph conversion thing, as all the previous mot's were in kph (and a higher number) than the latest mot, which was in miles. Cheers John
  13. Not sure if we are talking about the same thing, I am talking about the ulholstered (one on each side) vertical trim pieces (the ones that you can get with pods for extra gauges). The spring clips that attach them to the body slide on to plastic "knobs" on the back of the trim. I could not find any breakdown on the courtesy site Cheers John
  14. I lost a couple of them. John
  15. Yep....about the same % of junk as the UK Ebay. John
  16. Dave, I think if you get the conversion kit from the zed centre, your existing 190 kph speedo is transferred into a 190 mph unit simply by adding the electronic mods. John
  17. Does'nt it make you envious when you see all the zed stuff on Ebay in the states. I just did a search on 300zx and it came up with 41 pages of stuff. John
  18. Surely when you install the speedo conversion, all you do is wire in the little box behind the instrument, and your 190 kph speedo now reads 190 mph (just put a mph sticker over the kph) John
  19. Rc951, Sounds about right to me, I recently paid £30 on $180. You really did not think you would get it imported for free did you ? Unless the sender lies about the value on the customs declaration form (and hope you dont get caught) you will pay the vat + a nominal customs duty surcharge. Most legitimate dealers (like Courtesy) will accurately list the contents value. John
  20. Ivan, I just checked the Auto taser website.......it looks good, but price is £199, still, if it works it could be worth it. http://freespace.virgin.net/autotaser.uk/ John
  21. Anyone know where to get those spring clips that fasten the A pillars on ? Thanks John
  22. Got my stickers today......thanks Ajay Whats the favourtite place for members to put them ? Tailgate Glass ? John
  23. Andy repaired my digital clock.......even after someone had screwed around with it, 6 months later.........its still working. Cheers John
  24. I just used WD40, I used it mainly when it started not going up in the cold mornings John
  25. I also had a fuel smell, replaced all my fuel lines, new clamps, smell gone..........done forget those 2 little ones over by the fuel pressure regulator and fuel damper. John
