Hate to say it but some of the chases in Fast and the Furious where good. Not the first street race, when a 1/4 mile too 2 and a half mins, but the one with the truck and the chase with the Charger and Supra. The truck chase was good because they where traveling at some speed and not like most films where you can see they are only going 30 - 40 mph and they doub screeming engines over it.

I thought it would be easier to do it that way too. When I take my car to get tyres I always tell them to jack it up from the front.

Production. Radiators and oil cooler cores are quite universal. So you can mass produce loads of cores at once and they will be used a huge range of different cars. Most intercoolers are quite specific to each car so each make of intercooler has a much more limited market. The materials used are more expensive as it has to cool air which is rushing through it, when oil and water flow at a much slower rate to have more time to cool.

The more it radiates heat the more heat it loses and the quicker it will cool down.. Radiators have fins on it to increase the surface area. The larger the surface area the more it cools or the quicker it cools. A bumpy surface has a larger surface area than a perfectly flat one. Even though the boggles/lumps on the plenum are not that big, there are thousands of them, which all add up to to increase the area by a significent amount. I wonder if it is significant enough to affect the cooling. Stuart

Will powder coating a plenum make it get hotter? I thought it would. I know in theory polishing it will make it hotter, as there is less surface area for it to cool down.

They actually came up with some very interesting statistics. A normal intercity train, even if it was full, burns more fuel than if every person drove their own car to the destination. Also these new 200mph trains actually burn more fuel per person than a Jumbo Jet.
