  1. Hmmm, dont know, but by they looks they are dials for a US dash which goes up to 160mph and not 180mph and would be useless for UK and Jap Zs
  2. I was watching something when they raced the new MINI Cooper works with an old one round a track. The Old one beat it to the first corner, but then threw a valve :(
  3. Congrats to all of you :D She looks beautiful. She's young but she has already taken over the TV remote.
  4. This happens to my cards some times. Do what they said above. Format the card using the format option on the camera
  5. There should be one on the temp gauge, saying "As if you pay any attention to this" or "Even if you understood what it was you would ignore it."
  6. Cath (my girlfriend) has a MINI Cooper and I think the engine is totally unresponsive. It only actually get power over 4000 rpm. It handles very well around corners and very responsive. It is one of the better cars at handling, but I found it sliding at corners where I would go round with my Z with little problem. I also found that cornering on uneven roads, the car would bounce round corners. I think you should get some driving lessons mate. Or your friend is a lot better driver than you are ;) hehehe
  7. My girlfriend talked me out of selling mine.

No engine is indestructable ;) You will have to look at the history to find out why it had a rebuild, or you could ask the owner. Could be just unlucky like timing belt snapped, or a major oil leak when driving which the driver didnt notice. I have known 2 people at work who have had their engine blow on their fords which where less than a year old and have less than 10,000 miles on.
  9. You are better of asking on the Skyline forum as it is a standard Skyline colour. http://www.gtr.co.uk They dont bite ;) But you should search first.

Its very possible its limited, but doesnt meant people in Japan dont unlimit them. As I remember most speedo converters unlimit them.
  12. Errr, 225bhp 0-60 7.4secs (I think) Top speed 140mph ( If you was a fast car get the TT, its amazing how much faster it is.

The steering goes potty because it is speed related. It gets harder as you speed up. Because the speed sensor is sending dodgy information to the steering its not working correctly, its also causing the dial not to work and the cruise control works off from how fast you are going so that wont work. Sounds like the speed sensor you used is past its best. Go into the trader section and leave a message for AndyZ see if he has any good used ones. If not get a new one to make sure. You may not get an answer straight away as it is Billing this week. The countries largest Japanese car festival and most people go to it.

That is strange. When the steering goes with the speedo its because of the speed converter or speed sensor. When the dial stops working it doesnt effect the steering. I think you may have a speed converter but its stopped working, or the speed converter thats been put on could be faulty. Was it a new one or used?

Usually its the speed sensor or the Speedo KPH to MPH converter. Has it been converted?
  20. I was told by some one who said said that the car goes really fast when the 2nd turbo spools up. :S I couldnt be bothered arguing with him
  21. You wasnt it Platt Waz was you? ;) Or is that more Ince?
  22. There is a post on TT.net with some one wanting to change his engine to a V8 but doesnt not want to change the engine or have to mod the block
  23. I cant remember the exact details, but I think the original calipers where aluminum but where then changed to iron because the alloy ones kept warping. You can no longer get the alloy ones from new only the iron ones they would have to be able to just fit onto the cars which had alloy ones originally. Its either that or they replaced the iron with alloy, but I would think its aluminium with iron.

The 300ZX speedo is not at all accurate over 80 mph though. At 70mph on the clock you are doing 70, at 80 you are probably doing 78. By the time the clock says 100 you are doing just over 90. So by the time the clock says 180 I bet you are doing less than 170.
