I know you can get them from the US. But you get the from the US with an adapter ring on them. When I got one from Smithy from Japan, (the one with the stablising bars) the was no need for an adapter.

Its not the gasket he needs. When you get a filter from the US it comes with a 8 hole attachment so it can fit on many different cars. To make it fit a Z it needs a big black ring which screws on the bottom making the hole a little smaller and making the screw patterns correct. If you buy a UK/Jap one, the size is correct for the Z without the adapter ring. I have a filter here which needs an adapter ring but you cant buy them. Stuart

There is another side to this story. Just before broadband became widely availiable and affordable, CD albums where on sale for £17.99 I even saw some up at over £20. CD singles where costing £6-£7 Look at it now. Most CD albums are £8-£11 and singles are down to about £2-3 which they should be. All of this is 100% down to file sharing. And too right.

They cant get you for downloading because of, A) You are allowed to download any songs or software but if you dont pay for it, it must be deleted within 24 hours. Within this 24 hours you are not allowed to make copies of it. B) You can say that Kazaa or what ever you use, said the file was something else and you where shocked when it ended up being the Star Wars DVD rip, or the latest Windows installation. C) Ask how they got their information. They can not say the looked on your computer, that is computer hacking, but if they said they saw you download it, you can say you deleted it straight away. There used to be a chat room on here many many moons ago but no one used it. Then didnt we set up a MSN chatroom where you didnt need messenger to work it? That was semi sucessfull, but I think it died down after a while.

My dad was selling a telescope on ebay and had a few people interested. The person who bought it in the end won a bid on another telescope and as he was about to pay he received an email from the Midlands Police saying that the item has been taken off ebay due to fraud. Whether the email was genuine or the person send it because he didnt want to see the item is another matter.

Has any one played this? I wasnt too sure about it but now I think its great. Not many games you can just pick up for 5mins and then leave it. The staged bring back memories as do the cars and I am happy to say they have kept the original theme tunes. :D playing online it great too. :D

I think I remember hearing about a person who had a crash in his Cosworth. The insurance company did an EPROM dump of his chip and it wasnt standard. They voided his insurance. The told them he didnt know about the chip, the put his insurance back but at 3rd party only, so other people got insurance but he got nothing for his car.

So will a Dual JWT chip work with a Doolz? I cant see why not. The only real difference with the DoolZ and the JWT twin pop is the DoolZ balances its self while the JWT you have to plumb lines from the recirc to the idle valve. Yes I have disconected the idle valve before attempting adjusting and I tried it with out too. I have done a air leak test with Vijays boost leak tester and there is only a slight leak on the EGR, that's it. The TPS has been set to about 0.43 which is not perfect but shouldnt make much difference. It is meant to be 0.4 but I heard setting it a little higher to 0.44 is better.

It is probably better to give you the story of what I have done. I have done a rebuild on my 91TT with 555CC injectors, lightend pullie, greddy intercoolers, new loom, new O2 and water sensors, PCV hoses and valves and DoolZ POP with 1 APEXi filters. I got a chip from some one who dabbles with making his own map. The chip is said to be for a dual pop 555cc setup. The car starts but wont idle. When the dual pop was on it would struggle at 500rpm or so and the idle adjuster screw didnt make any difference. A few days alter it would get worse and the car would not idle. On starting it would rev to about 1200rpm for about 3-4 seconds, start to come down and stuggle around 300-400rpm before stalling. Suspecting the chip, I put the single POP setup back on. The car now starts and idles about 600-700rpm but again the idle screw adjuster makes no difference. The idle is a little rough but it will idle for about 15 seconds or so and the the revs drop and nearly stalls and rises back. It does that 2 or 3 times and the idles around the 700rpm for about 15 seconds before the revs drop again. Another strange symptom, is the left hand exhaust gas is warm while the right side exhaust gas is cold. ECU check is clear, there are no air leaks, only a slight one by the EGR (I knew I should have got rid of it when I had the chance). The engine over 1000rpm is perfectly smooth and I have raced the engine a few times, but the revs do drop a lot when I first press the accelerator. Can any one help? Does any one know what the symptoms are for having a wrong chip installed? Whats causing the revs to drop when I press the accelerator? Does it sound like the idle adjuster is not working? AFAIK the official name of the car Scoops has is GT-Four not GT4. Its like calling your car a Zee EX ;)

Doesnt resetting the ECU help out sometimes?

I got a L reg Corsa 1.2 with a bent front wheel and the whole car shakes when it reaches 60mph. But £35 will last 400 mile and not 150 like the Z does,

Changing the numberplate would not make any difference as they put the VIN on the the certificate too ;) Congrats on the pass :P

So you would put a boost controller on before the NA to TT conversion? ;) Or is it in no particular order?
