  1. £20 for an MOT. Where is that? They are all £27-£29 round here. :( They always say the head lights are too low. I am sure they just say that to get a few quid more out of you and dont actually do anything. I never notice anything different when they say they have adjusted them. Besides that. Good one. Nice to know when they pass the MOT no problem. Stuart
  2. Trust me hes got 3! Gone In 60 Seconds, the original. Honda Making of that cog advert. And I made him one of Ghost Ride, the final ride. However he could have gone out and bought 1997 more DVDs since I last saw him. Stuart
  3. However, being 23, when I told Tesco about my exhaust, they added another 9%. When I told them about my induction they added yet another 6%. So my premium went up 15% because of the 2 most common and least effective modifications. Stuart
  4. I cant see how a Turbo Z is harder to drive at slower speeds. Untill the turbos start to spool up the NA will produce more power at the lower revs. What happens whey you install NOS and then decide you want to get a Turbo, you will lose money on the NOS, and most people will not want a car with is installed. If you get a Z with NOS, just think, when you use the NOS and you get that sudden rush of power, Turbo Zs get that power all the time and it doesnt cost £10 a time ;) Stuart
  5. I think we can beat that. I have a PC, my dad has a PC with 2 flatscreen monitors and a graphics tablet, we have a laptop and a PC in the shed. Yes in the shed ! No its not broken its fully working PIII 1Ghz. ;) Stuart
  6. Take it to a garage and have it checked out. The bumper may have flexed and hit the chassis causing damage. From the out side it may look ok, but under the bumper there could be loads of damage, and if you only notice it a few months after you wont be able to claim. Stuart
  7. I get drips of water coming from round there every now and then. Most of the time its because water gets caught up there from when its raining. Other times its because I turn a corner too quickly and the water pours out the over flow. Stuart
  8. Do a online quote at Tesco. http://www.tesco.co.uk They give good quotes, but you may be able to get it cheaper than what they quote. Stuart
  9. There is a posibility that the turbos will explode. Blades spinning over 100,000 revs a min have the potential to brake through the casing and through the body of the car. Stuart
  10. This kept happening to us. Phone ring and then there is no one on the other end. We found out that it was companies trying to phone selling you stuff, but its an automatic dialler. Why the telephanist is on the phone to some one else, the computer phones some one up automatically. When you answer the phone, IF there is a telephanist free, you are put through them. IF there isnt ones free, you just get a dead line. Apparently their system doesnt do that, but we phoned BT with the number that keeps calling and they told us that is was such and such company. The phone calls happen about 5-6 even upto 10 times a day on some days but they only happened at business hours. When we finally answered to the phone and had someone on the other line. We asked for a superviser and demanded to be taken off the calling list. If you finally do get through to someone, ask to talk to a supervisor and tell them take the phone number off thier lists and also say that, because you have been calling so much with no one on the line, you have started harrassment charge against the people who have been phoning. They will quickly stop phoning. There is also a phone number of a company who will stop companies from phoning you, they just order companies like who are calling you, to take you off the list but they do it for hundreds of thousands of companies. Its a free service but I dont know the phone number. However if you phone the operator, and ask for the phone number for this service they will know what you are on about. It takes about 2 weeks before 95% of the phone calls stop, but they do stop. Stuart
  11. The online manual says 3.4 litres which I know is wrong. Its over 4 litres for sure. Stuart
  12. Personally I cant see why you shouldn't, but I know very little about them. I ask as today having a little fun on a dual carrage way, I floored, and at about 5,000-5,500 RPM I could hear a loud blowing/hissing noise. Is this the wastegate releasing the extra air? It could be a turbo leak but I know I have a very small one at the back but I could only just hear it when I had 8PSI in the engine, but I cant see it making that much noise that I can hear it over the engine and wind noise. Any ideas what it could be? Stuart
  13. Maybe. I will have to check. Will I have to take the balance bar off?

  15. http://www.zcentre.co.uk./lighting/zcl13.htm There you go. Zcentre £40 :D
  16. I tend not to speed. Never 20, 30 or 40. And not even in 50 really. I will do about 80 on the motorway, and maybe 70 on single carrageway national limit roads which are miles from anywhere. Stuart
  17. I am doing the Bake Bean trick again to find boost leaks. I have found one. underneath the passenger side turbo hose, there was a little black hose which went into an aluminium one but the clip was about 3 inches too high and just clamped around nothing. I have moved it down so no the clamp goes over the hose and alloy tube. But there is one right at the back of the car right in the middle. Any one know where that could be coming from? Its almose coming from the middle of the balance bar. Are there any vacume hoses under there or could it be the big hose that goes into the middle of it? Any ideas? Stuart
  18. People who say it looks like an Audi TT. WRONG! People who say it looks like a new MR2. WRONG! They look beautiful. Saw one today in Parbold. Silver, very nice. They stand out very well on the road especially with the contors on the bonnet. They are also wider than they look on the pictures. Its made my mind up that I like them now. You really have to see them for real. Stuart
  19. No the GTOs and Supras round here dont want to try. :(
  20. Driving down the road at a law obiding speed, nothing out of the unusuall. No car infront of me 1 car behind and a Fiat Brava coming in the opposite direction with its wheel trims wobbling becuase they are not on correctly. A few seconds later I hear a crunch and I see the 2 drivers side wheel trims come off at the same time. The rims are coming straight for me and the metal ring inside the rims come away and come straight for me too. There was little I could do. I couldnt swerve right because that Brava was coming, I couldnt slam on as there was a car behind me. All I could do was brake and slow down. I did and the 2 trims just missed me, but the 2 metal rings where still coming for me. One got caught under my car, but the other one rolled right over. I now have 4 really big chuncks missing from my paint on the light panel. I am not talking little scratches I am talking knocked the paint off all the way down to the plastic. The whole panel will have to resprayed becuase people dont check that their wheel trims are on properly. I have tried to paint the holes. They are red now instread of white but you can tell that they are there as there is a pit about a millimetre or so deep. Stuart
  21. I think I will go for a drive. :D I love hearing the exhuast with the roof off :D *sound effects* Brummmm, burble burble burble burble burble, bbbbbbrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, pop, breeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii *end sound effects* ;) At the traffic lights its like that scene from Fast and Furious. My girlfriend turns to me and says. "Smooke em'" and I shoot past the granny in her Kia Pride ;) Stuart
  22. I download some Simpsons (Some? about 300 episodes ;)) from Kazaa and some are a lot better than Digital quality. And the government want to turn off all the analogue transmitters by 2005. Ha. Like that will happen now. What doesn’t help the bandwidth now are channels which run that 1 hour channels. So they run what was on an hour ago. Stuart

S03, replaced the S02 about a year ago and I presume that the S04 is being developed now. I have said this before and I will say it again. The S02 I had on the rears gripped better in the wet than my Kuhmo (The tyres that where on before) did in the dry. The performance is outstanding, but they only lasted 8,000 miles. My only grumble. I also have heard about the S03 not being as good in the wet. They look boring too ;) Stuart
  24. I dont think the stop light was part of the european ZX. It was a part of the US and Japanese one. You can ask AndyZ on this forum page http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=28 He usually is selling good 2nd hand parts. He may have one. Also you I am sure you can buy them from http://www.zcentre.co.uk. But the site seems to be not working at the moment. But try again in a hour or so, it will be working soon. Stuart
  25. I notice it because I dont have Sky and dont get used to it. I have noticed it on DVDs too especially with the colour black but its no where near as bad as Digial TV. The longer fimes have more compression and are worse. Strange thing is, I watched Sky One, a main stream channel and the compression was very noticable. I then watched Back To The Future on the Sci-Fi channel and it was good quality. Stuart
