Thistlethwaites I think it's called. You best phone up and make an appointment. Its across the road from Machine Mart if you know where that is. They are also a good tyre place. No air guns for putting your wheels on. Its all torque wrench.

DVLA taking the P*ss
Just fill in the form. My girlfriend got a £25 fine for not declaring a car off road. It does acutally say on the Tax reminder that it must a SORN must be made if it is off road. As you said you didnt get one but they wont listen to that. I would pay as the fine increases if you dont pay up after 2 weeks I think. However what my mum does, she is great at getting out of these things, is send the cheque with a letter of complaint too and state you had no reminder about the tax and no thus no reminder about the SORN, and had no idea of how long the car was going to be off road as you didnt plan it. They will then look at you in a different light and not as a person who is trying to quirm out of a £25 fine as you have sent it the money. It has worked for my mum but it was for something different and she was in the right. Stuart

I get my tracking done once a year and its the whole 4 wheel lazer tracking and it is well worth it. The car feels a lot sturdier when its done and more responsive. I too have had bad experiences with tracking with the steering wheel wobbling and not being centre, to the mechanics kicking the crap out of a spanner trying to get the track rod loose. This is why, now that I have found a good place, I travel 15miles to them just to get it tracked and I go once a year. I go to a place in Bolton who do a full 4 wheel lazer check which takes 45mins or so and costs £28 and & £30 an hour over the first hour if it needs a lot of adjusting. However they do check toe-in, caster and camber of all 4 wheels and adjust them. They tend not to do the caster if it isnt that bad but if you ask they will but it will make you go over the hour you get. Stuart

I have a good life. I dont have an easy life. I have debts over £12,000 because I wanted to get a better education. I am trying to get a house now in an ever increasing house market where a 2 bedroom semi will cost me £90,000 and the average wage for University leavers has now come down to £14,000. So with £14,000 a year (Average! Im currently on £7,000) I am meant to pay for a small house at the cost of £90,000, pay off £12,000 debt and save for a pension because teh state one isnt worth anything now. Is that an easy life? I dont think so. I cant put things back as I have virtually nothing for myself. However if I wasnt from this country I would have a house, money and given grants for virtually anything I wanted, new decorations, cars, cloths. Now is that right?

....and we think OUR cars are expensive!!
I got a quote from a Nissan garage and they wanted £520. So either way its still cheaper but I dont trust Nissan UK mechanics.. Stuart

We do have more to say than just stuff about cars. We get on well enough and know eachother enough to respect eachothers views. Also this is why it is in a General Chat page. We CHAT about anything. Its what friends do. Stuart

Im not starting anything im just saying. Also that argument is also very old and boring. Yeah we where invaded by Saxons, Normans, Romans, Vikings, Scots, Irish and the Osmonds tried talking nearly 1000 years ago since any the last forgien occupier. You show me any country which hasnt had any breeding from any other place in the world. If we used that argument I should be able to claim any state help from Italy, France, Norway to name a few places, but I dont because I am British! Stuart.

How much boost?
May I also say that upping the boost is not really advised. I presume you have an ECU upgrade, but are the intercoolers stock? If so they really need to be upgraded if you want higher boost than 14psi. Stuart

How much boost?
Different boost jets with a smaller hole in them

How much boost?
Very Very high but they will explode with a chance of killing you ;) I hear they can do 17psi but that is starting to push it. Stuart

What has God or any god got to do with it. Yeah we are lucky to be here, but we paid for it, and there has been hundreds of years of blood shed and bad times to get here. Less than 100 years ago women where killed because they said they wanted the vote. They stood up for what the believed in, the didnt run to another country, and they did it. Blacks in America and in the UK where killed only 40 years ago because they said they wanted to be treated the same and they should not be prosicuted for who and what they are. They stood up and faught for thier rights and to make their country a better place, and they did it. They didnt run off to another country. If these asylum seekers really do want to have a better life for themselves and their family they should stay where they are and fight for thier rights and fight to make thier country a better place. If the oppostition to the way the country is run always run away, the country will never change for the better. Stuart

....and we think OUR cars are expensive!!
I got a quote for cambelt change for my car and it was around the £400 mark depending on a few things but shouldnt go over the £400. My dad asked Mitsubishi dealer for prices on a cambelt change. £650 they wanted. Stuart

You can change it yourself but unless you have the right equipment you wont get it right. Take it to any tyre place to get it tracked. Stuart

You have to be really carful what you say on the internet as you may not come across as you think you are trying. I just wrote a huge reply but decided not to post it as some people may say its racist. This country has become so politically correct that saying anything about some one of a different race is racist straight away regardless of whether it is true or not. All I will say is, asylum seekers is a HUGE problem in this country. The UK has the most applications in the EC and we accept more. I feel confident in saying that most people I know, and most peple on this forum think that too many people are coming in and it has been prooved time and time again that they are taking this country for a ride. Look at the Ireland problem. Seekers getting hand outs in Ireland, jumping on the ferry and then claiming in the UK too!. Some do need help and I'm proud to say as a British person, we help people who need it and we help them the best we can. But there are people who come here just for an easier life. I know some one who works in an office where they process them and they say you can tell the different people. Ones who come for an easy life and ones who are really in need of help. This person also said that most of them are here for the easy life. The BNP are the only party who have admitted that this farce has got to stop. How ever their methods ARE racist and I dont want people like that representing my/our country. The other parties are stuck in this over PC world where if they say anything about it they will be attacked by anti racist parties I know some one who is leaving this country because of this problem and I know some one who came to this country in the mid 80s and they said there are too many asylum seekers here too. P.S. Does this sound racist at all, as it is not meant to be and I dont consider my self as one.

Riding on 19"s
No I thought the proper reason to have larger wheels was to fit larger brakes on. Also 245/45/16 is a very unusual size and often tyres that size cost more than 17 or 18s

£40 for a bit of rubber!!!
Its OK you can spend thousands on a small chunk of carbon.

£20x 2214
But out of these 2214 only about 150 have posted more than 100 times, and if you dont post that much you wont want to pay. Also I reckon over 1900 of the people have posted 10 or less and over 1000 are just registrations with no posts. Stuart
