I bought a new Barton chip really fast, but encoding Raw pics to Jpegs would crash it all the time, but worked fine with my old chip. It turned out to be a faulty hard drive. :confused: Stuart

Messenger and hotmail works on 3 major servers. So when you log on or get your hotmail you log onto one of the 3 servers. If one of these servers goes down and you are unfortunate to be on one of those servers you cant log onto hotmail or messenger. Its never off for that long though. Stuart

It is acually a known problem to Nissan and I believe in the US and Japan you could get a discount to rectify it. Stuart

Vinz made some up. Also Stillen make some but I dont know if they point towards the driver for US cars. If they do that will cause problems for a UK car. Stuart

Yeah I have 3 HDD. 1 is pure data, one had win 2000 and one was Linux. Each installation was not effected by the other as they where on their own drive. I was surprised that the virus checker found everything as my Norton said I was clear and it was those viruses causing the problems as all is working well. Stuart

I have also had a few USB devices which would turn off half way through using them. Thanks guys looks like that Virus checker did the business. It found those 5 viruses cleaned 3 deleted 2 and after a reboot. The all is back to normal. I am now completeing a scan of all 3 HDD I have and 2 on my Dad's computer. Stuart

Thanks Gio. I have never had any problems with dual boot. Its not really dual boot as the different boots are on different HDDs and they dont connect to each other. I change the boot via the bios and tell it which HDD to boot from. I am currently running that virus checker that X-Biker suggested and it has found 2 viruses which Norton Anti Virus didnt find. :mad: Change the its found 5 and its not finished yet. :mad: :mad: That was a waste of £30 for Norton then Stuart

Its not my car. Its DaveW on the forum. I think it is a West Wing spoiler and I think you do need some sort of skin for it. Peronally I think it is the best looking spoiler for the Z. Stuart

The Linux is Red Hat 9 and the Windows is Win2000 I also have all the updates for windows installed.

Japan normal fuel is 100 Oct while ours is 95 Oct but Super and Optimax is 97/98 Oct. UK Zs are made for 95 Oct but wont hurt putting in Super or Optimax. I always put Optimax in when I can. It makes the car run better. For Jap Imports you should try to run Super or Optimax as the Jap ECU is made for the higher level of fuel as I believe, but running normal unleaded wont do any harm. If you modify your car you should put Super of Optimax in as it helps prevent detonation. Stuart

To be truthful I hated the look of them when Dave showed them to me. But when you see them on the car they do look really good. :D Really suit the car.

Swap file is automatic, according to the page file its about 500mb. I have 2 HDDs. Both have nearly 20gb free. Just thought. The other HDD has Linux on. Can that cause the problem. But I dont think it will as I am sure it was doing this before I installed Linux onto the other HDD.

I am suspecting a virus too, but norton says it is clean but I dont believe it. This happened to my XP installation. Samething but got unbearable to use so I went back to Win2000 ( A previous installation on another HDD) and about a week later this has started to do it. [Edit] Im downloading that program now. I have 512mb. The HDD light is on nearly all the time and I dont know why. :( Its that which is causing the problem for some reason, and I dont know what it is doing. Here is the list of what is currently running and the Startup menu is empty. The Icons I have at the bottom near the clock (TCRs) are firewall, messenger, Norton Antivirus and sound settings. I got mine done by C&S in Wigan. Very good. It cost me £400 but I had waterpump auxilary belts and loads of seals done too. I am sure he is cheaper for just the cambelt cost and labour. My car never idled better after the change too. C&S Woods 01942 892568 Ask for Phil Stuart

My computer................. seems to work OK for....................... about 30 seconds and................................ then all off a sudden pauses..................... for a second. Not allowing...................... me to do anything.......................... . Music............. stops playing.......... videos stop for a................second and if I'm...................... typing the cursor stops ........................ moving and the mouse freezes.............. Its nothing..................... major as everything.......................... works but as you can probably................................ tell its really annoying and.................................... anything that is done real time................................... music, videos playing games.............................. it makes it unusable. (I think you get the point now. ;)) Any ideas what it could be? My friend reckons some sort of Motherboard timing problem. It think it is somethign trying to access the internet or something. 18s will go on no problem These are 18s. The Z can take 19s too. The main problem is not the size but the offset. Z's have a small choice of alloys because the large calipers will be in the way of the most common alloys. So make sure they will clear the calipers before you buy any. Stuart

I have installed Red Hat and I have downloaded Nedit to do my C and Java (Well try to anyway) but I have no idea on how to install the thing. I have downloaded it and extracted it but I cant install it. Any help please. Stuart

I have to do 2 peices of work again as I failed them first time. I have to do a Java and a C assignment. The C is not to bad but the Java is a pain. I have to make Rodents Revenge in Java and I was given 2 files which I had to type out and then what I had to do was make a 3rd file to run the other 2. Right. OK typed the 2 files out all correct and they wont complie. I spent 2 weeks trying every thing to get the files to compile so I emailed my tutor asking for help. The reply I was given was they files wont conpile so he cant help. WTF!!!!! Its his code which is not working correctly and he cant help. its really pissing me off as I need this one thing to get my qualification and no one can help. I have had people who program in thier sleep look at the code and they cant even get it to work. As you can tell I am just so ****ed off becuase 3 years of work and £12,000 of dept has boiled down to this and I an ****ing helpless to do anything.
