300ZX Fuel Octane
It is a NA. There is very little chance of detonation with normal fuel. People on here have been running their Import Z on normal fuel for years and have no problems.

300ZX Fuel Octane
You are fine running it on normal unleaded. You may feel some performance benifits with running Optimax.

My alloy wheels need refurbishing.
No they are the rears. The fronts look nearly new, while the rears are in terrible condition. :(

2004 calander group buy
Making our own has been suggested for years but no one has A) Got the time B) Know where to get it done C) Wants to turn up for a Photo shoot We could use meeting photos but I think it would look a little tacky with just those. We really need photos taken specially for the calander. Its too late now but maybe for next year. I have a good camera that I sould use to get some pictures. We just need to organise it. Stuart

2004 calander group buy
Why does it cost $9 to ship it? Its nearly the same cost as the calander itself. I am sure some people on Ebay make more money on the postage than the item they are selling. Stuart

My alloy wheels need refurbishing.
The tyre was taken off, a wire brush taken to the inside of the rim and then some sealent was slapped on the inside and the tyre put on. This was done 2 times on each leaking wheel but the air was still leaking out from the where the rim meets the tyre. I dont just want them painted. I want them reconditioned, stripped down cleaned and then relaquered. I have been told that will stop the leaking. It is not leaking around the valve Stuart

My alloy wheels need refurbishing.
There is quite a bit of rim damage round the errrr............ rims ;) There also hundreds of little pits around the edge of the wheel. They are not stone chips, it lookes like something has reacted from inside the wheels. Plus there are a few big scratches on the alloys too. Caused by airguns when putting the wheels on after a tyre change. Stuart

exhaust
The rattle near the cats could just be the heat shield. Get under the car and have a look at if it is. If it is the cats, they could have collapsed which can cause engine damage. You can get them gutted or get new ones.

RR day piccies
Any one take a video camera?

Which one should i have!!!!!!!
Not all Imports have no rust problems. I am sure when they are exported here only the best really get filtered through. When Imports come here the underseal is not really good enough for UK roads and if not treated will rust very very quickly. Stuart

Autobox transmission loss
30% is a little high. I would have thought 18%-25% loss for rear wheel automatic. 4WD systems can lose 33% of the power in the transmission.

How easy is it to damage turbos?
And engine with no oil at idle will last about 10-15 seconds before seizing up. Turbos get a lot hotter and can spin upto 100,000rpm a minute. Any starvation of oil is not good. Firstly do not drive your car anywhere until you get it fixed. Hopefully you may have caught it in time and done little damage, but as Willie said, losing turbo pressure either means a major turbo leak or the turbos are starting to stuggle. Im not to up on how the oil flow works but if oil is pouring out of the outlet it may mean that the oil doesnt get chance to build up and fill the whole area of the turbo. How much is a turbo replacement on Soara errr, NA Z I mean ;) I would also suggest you do an oil change ASAP and then dont drive it. If the turbos have worn because of the oil starvation, there may be small metal fragments in the oil which could cause very expensive problems later on. Stuart
