Buying a Clio diesel - what to check?
fpmsl    Karen has just bought one of these on an L plate, to replace her old firsty auto petrol Pony!! The same model as you are looing at as well, 1.9 Diesel :D Things to check would be the usual Diesel items, try for the service history (karens came with a FULL one!!), if no history then ask if the service items have been changed recently, filters etc, if he cant prove either way, probably walk away or negotiate a good price drop. As diesels require good attention with the servicing side of things! Other than the usual stuff, cant really help you. Best of luck, Dave

99 Spech bumper light wiring? help!
Yeah that is a very nice switch, so much that that's why I got one for my rear fogs when I fitted them :D TBH, and IMHO, that is the best style of switch available!

99 Spech bumper light wiring? help!
Hi, and welcome to the 99 club :D Right, Fog lights don't come as standard with a UK spec, so unless someone has already modified your original bumper, then you're going to have to wire some in (and buy the units as well). These will fit directly into the housing at the front, along with the wiring for the 'sidelights', which also go into the Fog lamp unit. The indicator wiring will have to be extended to the side, and some modifying will have to take place with a connector, as the original one won't fit. Someone who has already done this mod is Matty, as he had a UK and replaced the bumper with a 99 spec one, but getting hold of him might be a bit of a prob. Not sure who else has done the full mod, but a word with Cybernet might help as well (not sure if he has converted the indicators though). Anyway, hope that is of some use to you, all the best with it, Dave

I've Got A Job Interview Tomorrow
At last I'm going over to Lincoln tomorrow to have a 'Formal' interview with Network Rail, for a job at the local Faulting & Maintenance department here in Grantham. Apparentley I've already got the job, especially as I've known the Engineer in charge of the whole area since 1978 :D, and he knows what I can do as we've worked together on the railway before. So tomorrow is just a formality, so that they can say that they've done an interview. Hopefully won't be too long before I can start, but, more importantly, hope my new working pattern doesn't conflict with any shows during the summer :D

Back On-Line......
Evening all, I'm back! :D Somebody near where I'm living is using a Linksys wireless router, I know this because that's the connection I'm using    I was just setting up the PC with the new wireless USB device when I noticed that it had picked up a signal from the said Linksys router! It's a bit low powered, at only 24Mbps (at the moment, was as low as 5.5 Mbps) but it's a connection all the same :D Don't know how long it'll last, but it's working for now, at least untill i get mine sorted anyway  Some may not think that 24Mbps is low, but it is compared to my 125Mbps (and I'm sure some on here are using even faster) :D

Midlands Meet - The Boat
Hi guys :D Nice to meet old and new alike, yet another cracking meet, nice weather, nice food, and good company  The tappet was chattering all the way back to Karens, even at 140 up the M6 :x: Got in her this, morning (The Zed, not Karen :nelson: ) and not a sound from said tappet! She ran perfect all the way home. So I'm gona leave well alone for now and see how she goes, but with the expectation of trouble in the future ;) I've got pics of all the cars (I think) and a bit of video, including Chunks exit from the car park in Barks' car :D Sorry guys, but I can't post any pics at the moment, but will do as soon as I can (I can't even view the pics posted on here or the vid clip :( ) If not before, I'll see you all at Japfest. Also the other local show to the Midlands is JAPS, held at Thoresby Hall, Ollerton, Notts, 2nd July, well worth a visit.

That's it, bye, bye..........
Well I've moved house :D And I'm totally knackered!! Currently using mobile phone connection, so can't view any pics :( (keeping cost down) I just couldn't stay away for very long as I love hearing what everyone is doing ;) Still hoping to be there on Sunday Just received the current copy of the ZClub mag, nice feature on Micks car  Also nice to see the Mids guys featured in there as well (bloody typical, as I wasn't at that one!! ;) ) Going to try and stay intouch with you all as much as I can, but may not have a fixed line for some time :( Anyway, I've got all the dates of various shows that I'm gona be attending, so I'll see a few of you all at them :D Now the bad news, while moving some stuff in today the Zed got damaged  Two paint scrapes and a dent are now in the drivers side of the boot lid  I'm a little p155ed off about it as that's gona be another bill when she goes into the paintshop  Anyway that's it for now, gona do a bit of reading on here TTFN

Frong fog light switch
Yep, that is perfectly correct, that's what mine do, except that my fogs work :D If you do need to buy a couple of bulbs, the ones you want are H3, but if they have never been changed since before it was imported, then you'll probably find that there is a bullet connector on the end of the wire, and the new ones will be spade connectors. If so you'll need to cut the female bullet off the wiring loom side and replace it with a female spade (each side) Then you can use UK spec bulbs without haveing to modify them everytime. Wish you luck with it. Dave
