  1. Posted last night, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=68730 And I think the p&p is too high, although I agree with dipone, but then what if the bids go upto a reasonable cost, then you still have to pay the rip-off postage, con-men thats what they are!!! ;)
  2. Could be somthing as simple as a fooked battery, mine was a complete pig to start in the first winter after I bought it, and I was told it had had a recent new one fitted. Someone then sugested that a new battery might help, and hay-presto never had a problem with it starting again!! HTH Dave Also your best investment if you've just got your Zed, would be to subscribe to this club, well worth the £20 membership!! The savings are tremendous :D :D :duffer:
  3. Really sorry to hear this as well bud. At least you're alright, as a car can be replaced, you can't!! Best of luck with it all. Dave
  4. That made me chuckle ;) I'll let you know when it turns up :D
  5. As I posted the yesterday in Q&A, it was at lunch time Monday, so I watched it then. As for recording it, it had already started when I switched on, but i did notice a web address at the end of the prog, so I went on-line, and you can buy the individual programms on DVD direct from them, so i did (that's before I found out that it was on again today :headvswal bloody typical, if I hadn't it could have been months if not ever before they showed it again) Anyway so I've got the full DVD coming :D persumably in NTSC and region 1, no worries ;) both my DVD and Tv play NTSC, and I can soon convert it to region 2 ;)
  6. As above, does anyone know/recommend a good automotive upholsterer that would re-cover my steering wheel in leather? Preferable in the midlands, but would consider anywhere. TIA Dave
  7. No, but have you considered going in for the New dial Group-Buy that is in the Group-Buy section? >>> HERE As there arn't the required 20 persons yet. Also it would be the 180 mph, so no resistors required, and they are £60 set (aprox) Well worth a look!!!! :D

  9. Wouldn't mind seeing them again myself, not seen them since the mid 90's Anyway, hope you all enjoy yourselves, and don't forget, once the lights go down, have a Black Celerbration!! :D
  10. Sounds like it could be a OEM one then, but I've no idea what the electrics looks like on them, just assumed that they'd be somthing like the aftermarket ones (self-build) But TBH, knowing what Nissan is like, and that they love to charge you a fourtune for nothing, then I'm sure that it would be well over-engineered for what it is! Good luck. Dave
  11. Very nicely put T-Pot ;) Be thinking of you tomorrow bud, take care and all the best. Karen & Dave
  12. These are either a factory option in Japan, or have been made up by a previous owner. Both versions are made up using Electro Luminascent sheets, although the OEM one is of a lot more robust nature. As for what could be wrong, you'll have to have a look around, as some where there will be an invertor, which changes the 12vdc to 110vac. Now this unit gives off a slight hum when powered. So your first bet is to locate this unit (probably a small black box with four wires coming out of it) switch the lights on and see if it hums, if it doesn't then it could well be this that has gone wrong. Now for the tricky bit, confirming that it is this invertor. You'll need an electrical metre and check the incoming supply, and the outgoing feed. If you have an incoming supply but no outgoing, then it is defo the invertor, and you should be able to pick one up from Maplin or RS Components. If you are getting an outgoing feed, then you'll have to move on to the EL Strip situated within the rear centre panel, to check for broken connections and the like in there. If there are no broken connections and you have power upto the EL sheet, then the sheet will need changing. If you don't have any power coming upto the Invertor, then you'll have to start checking for broken/dissconnected wires within the loom. HTH Dave
  13. A prostitute that works on the other side of the road!!!     Only joking, he is referring to a left-hand drive version of the Zed, which I would of thought would be all that you would expect to buy in France!! ;) Especially that you drive on the right :D
  14. Well in 30 mins, they go through the whole Z story, right from the 240Z upto the 350 soft top, so you can imagine there isn't all that much. About four or five mins worth, but does show some in the factory being assembled, which was interesting.
  15. It's just been on this morning, 11:30 to 12:00 (m&m), so just sat and watched it, very nice short little prog.
  16. I've got every day off!!! :(
  17. Thanks Dave, but it's not vinyl, this is a full leather re-trim as I've just taken all the vinyl, that I did two years ago, out!
  18. Viewed by 42 people, and not one request as to WTF am I going on about!!!     Too late now to explain :D
  19. Thanks Rich. I wish I could, but it isn't insured or Taxed at the mo, and I'm awating the rear spoiler to arrive then it's got to go into the bodyshop for some much-needed work. But saying that, it would be nice if the spoiler arrived this week and I could get it into the workshop for next week, then it could be down at The Boat meet :D
  20. lol :D And thanks bud ;) Thanks. Sorry Dave, but those were the only pics I took today. Once I get the rear panels done this week, I'll be back at the car and will take a few more, but the car isn't at this address so i can't take any untill then. TBH & IMHO, if I did Cream, then I'd go for a FULL-ON job and have all the seats done as well as the panels, as I don't think that Cream & Black really go together (Like I say, IMHO ;) )
  21. I've got the Motorola V3 (original) and to be honest, you can make calls and receive them, but other than that it's a pile crap!!!!! The camera is sh1te, I've upgraded it to video, and that's sh1te as well, and the menus take to long to move from one to another............. On the whole very p155 pour!!
  22.     .................................. NO!! ;) It was nice doing it, but I wouldn't want to do it again though :D
  23. I bought a full hide, which cost £95 + £12 P&P from e-bay (link posted above) If he's got cream, then he's worth a try, I found him a very nice bloke, and very fast delivery.
  24. Well the good weather was here today (well this morning anyway) so i set about putting what was ready back into the car..... I wasn't happy with the finish on the piece that goes between the glove box and the door panel, so I'm going to re-do that one, hence why the glove box isn't installed :D Also I'm having a new red handbrake gator made up, that's why it's not there ;) I've now got the rear panels out of the car, so will be doing them this week. I'm very pleased with the end result so far, but now I've got to give the whole interior a good clean up.
