  1. Wish you all the best with it Mark, hope it all goes smoothly for you this time. :duffer:
  2. Well, that was exactly the problem. Somehow I'd got the brackets swopped over for the rear callipers and put them on the wrong side, so the bleed valve was at the bottom :headvswal The fronts were fine and correct. Anyway they are now on the right wat round and working properly, even tested the ABS on the test drive ;) Arr well, live and learn :D
  3. A pain in the rear mate :D So much so the the rear quater panels are made of two pieces with a join seam. It's not all that good, but it works, and I've still got enough left to re-do them if I decide to.
  4. Well, I decided to start my brake upgrade, finally, as I've now got all the parts required. These included....... New discs all round New pads all round New fluid New SS braided flexi hoses and all the new seals, shims, pins and bits and bobs for the callipers First thing to go wrong is the fact that the SS flexi hoses haven't got the correct fittings in them :headvswal Next problem is that I can't get any of the discs off, they are all stuck solid :headvswal OK, I think, I'll have the discs sorted at my mechanics when all the correct fittings are here for the flexi hoses. So I carry on with the calliper servicing anyway. Now this is where it turns a bit 'Chavy' ;) as I've decided to paint the callipers RED :D What a load of crap that is, it's supposed to be a two coat proces, like **** it is :nono: It's also supposed to resist brake fluid, but it dosn't do a very good job of that. Anyway, all four callipers are serviced and painted, so the next morning it's time to fit them back onto the car, which I do without any further problems, untill................. It's now time to bleed the brakes, so i follow the service manual 'TO THE LETTER' and something goes wrong! This I know because the brake peddle goes almost straight down to the floor! The only thing we can think of is that not all of the air was out of the system, so we do it again, and again, and AGAIN!!!! Still no joy. So I phone my mechanic to see if he could sugest anything, and he said bring it down, which I did this morning. Up on the ramps she goes, while I'm in there pressing the brake peddle, he is clamping the flexi hoses (glad I didn't fit the ss braided ones now) he finally come to the conclusion that there is a fault with both rear callipers! Then we spot it........................................ I'll leave it there, see if anyone can guess what it was..... And NO, I hadn't forgotten to fit anything, everything was there in it's correct place.
  5. Here you go, just scroll down the post a bit, and the fitted version is there >> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=68134&highlight=interior Sorry, but I've not got the fully finished pics yet, but then that could be because it isn't fully finished   Hope to get some better pics next weekend at Japfest, complete with the new bodywork :D HTH

  7. Well if you check out the National Events section, it's all in there :D I'm going :hyper:
  8. Daves_Zed replied to Suzy's topic in Events - UK
Thanks Suzy, turned up this morning
  9. Yes, it seems that the chromeing process is quite a bit more expensive than he first thought, but will still chrome them for you for an additional US$160 (I think he said, can't check as the US site is down at the mo) So I'm going to try a few people over here first. Anyway I still can't tell from any of the pictures that I have, whether all of the insert is actually chrome or only part of it  Maybe Luke could confirm that one, I'll ask him next time I'm on the phone to him. I'll keep you all informed once my inserts turn up, and as progress goes along, complete with a full write-up at the end.
  10. Bugger!! I knew was going to do something on the way back home on Tuesday evening :headvswal :headvswal At least Eliza was working properly then, she isnt now
  11. I sure have, awaiting delivery from the good ol' US of A :D Details here >> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=71301
  12. Pic.... They are a thick padded bag
  13. They were in the boot when I bought the car. I thought that they were standard bags, untill I saw other peoples bags and they all looked so flimsy! I posted on here with a couple of pics, and it looks like mine arn't even from a NISSAN :D so I have no idea where they have come from  Sorry I can't really help
  14. I've got semi-solid** targa bags, so don't take me very long at all :D But then I don't very often bother to put them in the bags. **Semi-solid apparently isn't standard, or maybe even not even NISSAN!
  15. It sure was on the US site, and it was me he was talking to :D I think the guy is a total :xxx: and I wouldn't p155 on him if he was on fire!! But I don't hold a grudge ;)
  16. As title, will there be a Leicester area convoy to Japfest on the Saturday morning? I was just wondering, as I've never been there before and wasn't too sure of the best way to go :D
  17.   In that case, probably not a lot of room then :D But then the converter lead isn't very long, only about 5 inches at most, so you should be OK.
  18. Come to think of it, he's still got a boot lid propped up against a wall that belongs to someone from here ;) If you read this bud, he asked me that if I spoke to you, to remind you that it's still there, waiting to be picked up! Don't ask me who it is, as he knows himself :D
  19. The guy is reliable, once you get it booked in in the first place! He's done all my previous bodywork on Eliza, plus a full respray on one of my previous Capris, which was very good! I can't wait
  20. At long last Eliza is finally booked into the paintshop! :D She's going up there next Monday morning, and he recons she should be back with me on the Wednesday (hopefully) in time for some more little bits to be done (if they turn up in time) just before Japfest on the Saturday  She's having some minor rust spots sorted, then all of the stonechip removed (including the rear bumper). Then the spray work on the lower half of the car, the whole of the recent rear bumper and the new 99 spec rear spoiler. All this work should have been completed back in February, but for reasons beyond mine or anyone elses control that didn't happen. But at least I've finally got a date sorted out :D as she's been going round since last November with a Grey bumper on :D
  21. You're good with a drill Daz :D
  22. 'kin el!!!!! You're at it again!!
  23. Oi!! This isn't a bloody dating agency Daz!! ;)
  24. Sorry bud, but you have to be subscribed to sell here!!
  25. You've got to start checking fuses first, sounds like you've blown at least one, if not more. First check the fuse panel to the right of driver leg/foot, behind panel >>> Jap Translation Here Next one is drivers side of the engine bay at the back, And the main relay box also has fuses in there. HTH Dave Oh, yeah, and a bit of punctuation would be nice ;)
