LPG anyone?
It's that time of year again when thinking about an LPG conversion. I have a Jap TT 300ZX Auto. It's reasonable on fuel for what it is. However, wondering if someone has taken the plunge and done an LPG conversion? I would insist the fuel tank be made to fit where the spare wheel goes so as to appear as normal as poss though.

Boost controller - chip needed?
ask JD he will advise.

Boost controller - chip needed?
No actually I didn't. JD suggested I 'pinch' or remove a small balance tube on the top of the engine during MOT - which I did to the bewilderment of the tester. It obviously folled the machine and passed. I shall check it out next time I'm up with JD. Don't trust anyone locally - they have no clue. Incidentally a new issue. Went away for 3 weeks. Came back and Zed battery was flat. When started with booster battery the Profec made a frantic bleeping and showed a reading of 506. No matter what I did it stayed like that for ages. Now seems to have settled but I'm suspicious of it;'s current performance tbh. Anyone else had silly readings or errors from the Profec B series 11??

Finally got him!!!
Barrel of water. Tilt plank on rim of barrel. Chocolate piece at far end of tilt plank, over water. Point of balance reached just prior to choc choc. You can guess the rest. Rats love choc choc (with Jacquzzi thrown in). My farmer friend made in and it's 100% successful.

No more European jolly's for the Zed....
I agree the French service stations are not the best places to judge a nation - but to be fair I also went to Normandy, the old Operation Overlord venues and I asked for peas with my fish and chips in a local cafe and was refused with a huge No, "No, no no no........" so after that cultural slap in the face I didn't like the French. Maybe I'm too sophisticated?

We 'discovered' Germany about 4 years ago and have been back every year - pity really. The only pain is having to visit France and Belgium on the way but hey you can't have everything!

No more European jolly's for the Zed....
We go to Nurburg every year - full apartment, self contained, lounge area, kitchen, twin beds, all new - with breakfast = 70 Euro per night all in (was about £47) Did Cornwall in September - Mevagissey -- B&B - with breakfast £120 per night and we had to ask for a discount to get that. UK holidays? Gotta be kidding.

No more European jolly's for the Zed....
The point of my thread was simple. Sorry to have to spell it out - in fact I'm typing ever so slowly this time. My Euro holidays that used to be priced in total around 1300 Euro's would cost me about 850 quid. At todays rate the same trip would cost me nearly 450 quid more. Ergo, tis far more expensive than previous years to go to Europe. Hence, may not bother as it's throwing money away. That's the point of the thread. Was wondering if others felt the same way and it appears they do. Mind you, there's a 19 year old girl in my wife's office who thinks the recession and economic downturn doesn't affect her and she asked 'Is it just me not seeing anything different?' To which I commented, ' No, it's just you don't understand the bigger picture that's all - but you will'. Pay back is coming, watch the next 3-5 years.

The are 4 'next steps' according to the plan by the unseen ones. 1. A single currency - global. 2. A World Government 3. ID cards for all. 4. a One World Church. Bit by bit it's all heading that way.

[quote=chayden;1178432e Use the savings on your mortgage repayments to fund your trips to Europe in the Zed :) . If I had a mortgage it might have been useful - savers and tax payers are bailing out the feckless, impulsive and reckless spenders..........

No more European jolly's for the Zed....
Ah well it was nice to get the Zed to the Ring at least once before NuLabour and the faceless ones destroyed our economy. Glad you voted them in now I hope? Broon used to take all the credit for every financial condition of the UK when it was OK, as soon as it all went belly up, it suddenly became, a 'gobal problem' and not 'our fault'. Funny that - take all credit and wash hands of all responsibility for destruction of UK economy. Brown has modelled his running of the nations worth on the same basis as I cleared my garage recently. I wanted to raise some cash so I rooted out a lot of original parts for my classic car. I sold them and raised the cash. Hence when I need more cash, I go to my garage and guess what? There's no more assets to sell to raise money. That's exactly what NuLabourMarxism has done - sold off industry, manufacturing, gold, pensions, blah blah......... Now the key difference between Broons Garage Sale Economics amd mine is this. I cannot turn to all my neighbours and say, 'I am wanting to tax you all on everything you earn and later everything you buy at 18% plus.' That is the key difference and that is what will send millions into poverty from next year. Some might say it's criminal, incompetent, stupid or sinister. It actually doesn't matter because your pound in your pocket will be worth probably less than 40p and I'm being generous.

No more European jolly's for the Zed....
The amazing silence on the news over this is staggering. Our currency is wittering away (like the D.Mark did in the 1930's.....) and all we see is stupid Brits queuing up at 6a.m. for 'the sales'. If ever anything showed what a nation of divs we are this is it. Still as long as the Stella's in the fridge, Corrie's on t'TV and X Factor rules then we don't have much to worry about in Brken Britain.

No more European jolly's for the Zed....
With the pound down to 94p against that poverty making Euro I am resigned to staying in the UK as much as it hurts to even think that. When the Euro was 1.5 to 1 that was cool, even 1.3 to 1 was OK but the pound lower than the Euro? What's that all about? The Euro has halved the income of the Italians, ruined their take home pay, almost eliminated the value of their pensions and they hate it with a passion. I know coz I asked lot's of them when last in Florence and surrounding areas. Now the invisible power brokers are trying to force us down that route as well. Decimaliaztion halved the value of our take home pay very cunningly, and the Euro would go some ways to repeating that fiasco. I think there are a few people who stand to make guzillions out of the so called 'parity' thing and it won't matter a jot to them if the rest of us creep into the 'pauperization zone'. Anyone else doing hols in UK from now on?

Insurance Quotes who's Cheepest
When I enquired about Trade cover I discovered that they would only ever pay out what the Trade market price was on any vehicle driven under the policy - which meant a car you think is worth 10k to you would get maybe 3k if that's what Glasses or Parkers guide said. Something to think about.
