i know alot of fas's car is custom and i think some of his kit is from a civic modified to fit the zed?? so you might struggle to find it. The normal wide kit you can buy from the z centre Kirbz

my mate wants a race with my zed, he recons he can beat me in his s2000, its in max this month with a HKS turbo on it, he thinks its putting out 350 bhp?? but he can only run 6psi on the turbo so wots the point?? saying that i wouldnt like to try him on the track but in a straight line i think i would do him quite easily :) Mike

??? If it wasnt a new one i would say it was the thrust bearing as when in a low gear say 4th at 35-40 and put foot down it really groans also seems to be a little on idle but press the clutch in and it stops?? Any ideas?? Kirbz

ive come very close to selling as lots of people on here know, mine was off the road for 8 months with a blown piston and i started on a mission to build a monster but as usual with zeds thw bills kept racking up and i ran out of money so very nearly and the only thing at one point that stopped me was the wife!!! :) So i'm glad i carried on and fingers crossed on about a month the mechanical side will be finished :hyper: :dance: Kirbz

Ive also removed mine for a while and i know of duffers and johnnyz32 who also have removed the fan cover and had no problems?? I sat in my zed for 4 hours in 30 degree traffic the other week and didnt overheat once but then again i am aware that the stock guages are crap so i must admit i pulled over a few times to check the levels and i didnt lose anywater at all. I suppose it all depends on the condition of the rad and engine etc Also something to think about when the shroud is on surly its keeping the hot air from the engine in and therefore flowing it into the rad?? if its removed it give the hot air a chance to rise and the fan will blow colder air in?? or i suppose the other way you can look at it is the air thats blowing from the fan can escape upwards and not hit the rad as much?? Was just on the M6 near Lancaster and there was nearly a foot of water on the road :eek: hard work and the lightening was hitting the ground around the motorway and exploding...very frightening worse thing was i was in my zed as it was sunny earlier :rolleyes: Kirbz

Well being as the response has been so high i propose that cybernet be the south east role and adamr the northwest - i know he hasnt a zed anymore but does this really matter a meet is a meet and we dont have to look at his mister 2 ;) If anyone has any problems with these people doing the roles please let me know Cheers Mike

ive had both blitz and greddy and i prefer the greddy very simple but performs slightly better and fits nicely where the clock is :) Kirbz

If i remember right from my insurance days you have to declare the minor points like speeding for 3 years and they stay on your licence for 4 years stuff like drink driving and dangerous driving is 10 years Kirbz

If your talking about brand new standard tubs your better speaking to smithy as he does some stage 1 or 2 ones which arnt much more than standard turbos and have much stronger seals on them. Kirbz

First thing to do is go round all the hoses and intake pipes and check for splits or not tightened up, if not then you really need someone who knows the zed to have a good look, i'm sure there will be a forum member not too far that would have a look Kirbz
