  1. Seeing Pink at the wembley arena 2006.Utterly, completely amazing + everywhere you looked half naked lezzies kissing.Torture.lol.
  2. I had a spare set of 'winter' michelins on stock cheap jap wheels. The tyres were shot when i got them, but £170 later + It was amazing difference. The front felt much more planted, whilst the rears only had the odd slip rather than full traction loss, you still have to drive with care though...They burn up fast in the dry as well..I thought it was a better option than knackering a good set of wheels, or being in the ditch...
  3. I'm for repairing it. The flooding just needs drying out. Take the battery off to stop any wiring / alternator etc problems + get it into a garage that can be made as warm as you can. Providing its not left soaking wet, there wont be any long term problems + Think scrapping its a waste...
  4. A few smaller cars, subaru's and the like could either keep up, or pull away at lowspeed. As soon as er motorway speeds approached it ate them alive(manual340bhp). I used to race against a porsche boxter with his £1500 exhaust + on the airfield road stuck to him like glue.I think with a dual road I would of had him... I live not far from a US airbase + its a delight to flash a yank tank to get outta the way.lol.
  5. Even new stock ones make a big,big difference, and you dont tear the other end of the arms off with stock either...
  6. I think only 10 % broke is pretty good for a zed.lol.
  7. Yup, of all the stupid ebay questions I get when selling, that stops more sales than anything else. :stupid:
  8. I hate to see good shells scrapped, but I dont know the solution.I've been to look at a few, ahem, 'roadworthy' Zeds over the years + theres still far too many rustbuckets out there..and a lot of filled+ sprayed too.
  9. I love a medium size roundabout near me. You can see across it so no pedestrians, cars coming or anything, then into it at 45-50, boot it, squeel, boot it again and it really steps out.Lovely.......Then go round for another go :tt2: I'm a bit of a RWD fan, even the sensible 4 seater car is a 4.4 v8 manual 540.
  10. If you're really worried, and cheeky enough. Then a head gasket 'sniffer' will find any aggros and they are only about £30.Dead easy to use too....
  11. Coshing mine about down country roads in my manual TT, lots of flat out 2nd, 3rd etc used to kill 1/4 of a tank in about 20 minutes....Fast isn't cheap..Bloody exciting though  Motorway cruising ish it was ok, but i got 25mpg regularly on the run to work(i'm not a saintly driver) + low 20's, high teens running about locally.
  12. when my ptu connection wasnt all that, mine did funny things, sometimes dying under full load + restarting as the revs dropped(guess it was re-connecting) I only found it by chance when it died totally.A new ptu did it.
  13. That rust looks terminal.Your choices are, scrap it, or sell it to me for £50 :cowboy: ... Although you could clean off the underseal + paint with a wire wheel on a grinder(mind where the bits go as they slowly disentegrate) and cut a nice square bit out, make a new bit + weld it on, bit of underseal, lovely Anything else will just come back way worse another day.Shame im doing so many hours,as its a fairly easy job + shouldn't cost a fortune... Patches just rot again, as the underside is left with a lip+ the crud sits on it :death:
  14. Camskill are good, quick + cheap for stock, or modded parts. gto world near leeds did a great cambelt + suspension job on mine too :cool2: ....evil Empire for parts+ tuning...if you can shut him up, he does yatter
  15. I haven't seen one in ages, then two in a day..A grey g reg coming from little paxton + an l reg going out of eaton socon in the dark silver? ..
  16. Relax.Distract yourself by looking at all those lovely nurses  + enjoy being looked after. I have a serious hatred of needles + manage to give blood now, by talking to the person doing it, consciously relaxing my body + definitely not watching. Try and remember, they are there to help you...
  17. I tried allsorts of cleaning+ sprays. The best thing is a new connector soldered on + the bit it goes on thoroghly cleaned up,The difference in the way a zed will run after is shocking.
  18. Cheers guys.... er, any tuning tips?
  19. Hi all. My mates driving me potty going on about them.Anyone know anything about them, so i can en/discourage him? :thumbup1: Are they thirsty? reliable? fun?
  20. Try the little hoses at the back of the engine, between engine+ bulkhead. I have a car shop extendable mirror + can see under turbos, around back of engine + just about anywhere.Well Worth £1.99.
  21. Are you in the aa? or any breakdown service? They are good for an unbiased diagnosis...
  22. Follow the leads from the battery, something has made one of the leads ground out where it shouldn't. Should be obvious if its got hot enough to melt.
