  1. We bought the tank. We bought the gravel. And the plants. And the ornamental wood. And the expensive chemicals to make the water "good". We got the water tested and it WAS "good". We chose six fish, bright, colorful little things and the food to feed them with. We introduced them slowly and carefully. They swam and played with the filter and were dutifully bright and colorful. They all died within one week. B@stards. There's a moral there somewhere but I can't be arsed to find it. ;)
  2. Sat watching "Midlands Today" this evening, enduring another thrilling and incisive journalistic piece on flies (yes, that's right, flies...dontcha just love regional news? ) when, during the reporters piece to camera somewhere in Rowley Regis, a yellow Zed zoomed by in the distant background! Anyone here going to own up to their new found celebrity status? Leigh.
  3. JD, if you're reading this, looks like someone's either been reading your mind or bugging our phones! ;) :) Custom made intake manifold and single throttle body...a VERY good idea...;)
  4. Another one for "JD tuning" though it ain't on the list ;) Hey John, funnily enough I know someone who could paint you a decent sign for above your garage...;) I'm sure Hayley wouldn't mind [ahem!] :D
  5. No IT here either, I'm an artist (waiting for someone to insert the word p1ss now...;)). No regular income and running a Zed...didn't think that one through too well did I... Bugger
  6. Look really good mate, quite similar to what I've got only with more or a "deep dish" but then I'm a bit of a fan of 5 spoke wheels. [/img] Racing Hart make some very nice alloys, but never liked the shape of 6 spokers for some reason, but thats only me! :) Leigh
  7. And yeah...bloody noisey single exits.....can't think who'd want to de-cat one and risk making it louder... ;)
  8. Lol! Still got all my body parts attached mate so reckon it must've had an effect! (Though like Hayley she seemed able to hide the excitement she HAD to be feeling remarkably well.....;) )
  9. Been round at John's today to install the first Tech Edge Wideband O2 sensor he's put together in my car (slaved over more like! Cheers mate, I can't thank you enough for all you've done today...drinks are on me at the gig bud ;)) After testing, the unit seems to working ok, but as yet it isn't operational...the remaining work will be done in the near future. Here are a few photos we took during the course of the afternoon...suffice to say we got a little carried away with the installation! Lol! :D See what you guys think.....;) This was the console as it started out today. KnockLink was installed almost 2 weeks ago. [/img] The main unit and display exposed. [/img] The main unit mounted in the footwell. [/img] "Modified" console. Vents have been gutted and cut to accept the O2 display, aluminium sheet shaped to fit and the two units mounted accordingly now with the KnockLinks front fascia removed. [/img] Overview of the finished installation. I'll shortly be making a similiar aluminium fascia for the AVC-R. [/img] Just got to get the stock tape/radio out now as it's a bloomin' eyesore by comparison! But seriously, this is a fantastic bit of kit. Can't wait to get it up and running :D Leigh.

Dave, speaking from my own experience and leaving aside the fact he's a mate, John is THE man in this area ;) He'll put you on the right track. Leigh
  11. Oh, how soon they forget "Water Colour Challenge".......  Leigh.
  12. Jesus. Just turned it on. Can you say "freakshow"???
  13. Voted no, but as with those that voted the same, it's not because I don't believe the committe have done a great job, (they have!:)) I just firmly believe in the principle of free elections. I thought the first point made by Zevans was spot on.
  14. Can't remember the name of the area (so guess this ain't going to be of that much help  ) but is it off the main road on the hill as you go up to the road into Mappeley from the city centre? If so, and I was in your position, I'd probably give taking the Zed a miss. When I visit my mate(who lives in Mappeley), I've been told by him not even to drive through there at night!
  15. Lol! Cheers for putting these together mate, you're a saint and a scholar and I salute you! Still haven't subjected everyone to the artful KnockLink installation mate...;) :) Speak to you soon bud. Leigh.
  16. Just got back today from Germany and was gutted to see this mate :( Hope everything works out ok bud. Leigh
  17. Ain't that the truth!  If you've already got all the gaskets, valves and hosing to fit when you're putting it back on and are prepared to work on it non-stop with the prospect of bloody knuckles and blisters to meet your deadline then go for it! When I did mine I just did a bit at a time to make sure it was as good as I could get it. IMHO it's not a job you want to rush bud and I'll be taking my time when I do the one that's coming off the car in the very near future. :) http://rides.300zx.co.uk/rides/1967/Polished_Plenum_02_reduced_.JPG
  18. Chicks dig the car.
  19. Oh, and saw a very dishevelled Richard "I don't believe it" Wilson at Heathrow airport in 1998. For about 10 seconds. And stalked Hugh Dennis (without Punt) through Manchester train station because I was bored...
  20. Got Kenny Baker (R2D2 in Star Wars for the uninitiated) hopelessly p1ssed on 120 year old Port at a uni dinner where he was "guest of honour" (Laugh!? I nearly bought my own beer...) then had to drive his specially adapted Rolls Royce out of the Head of Universities parking space where he'd convenently left it. Which was nice. Leigh.
  21. Just got access to Photoshop Elements as I need to alter a photo tonight ready for tomorrow if possible. I'm a complete novice when it comes to this so thought I'd ask you guys as time is pressing! I want to select a colour (I use the eye dropper tool I guess?) but then alter that colour in the original photo to one that is completely different. I know this is very basic but if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Cheers, Leigh.
  22. Sorry to here about the discs John but that's some miles you put in! Hope you had fun while you were there! :D
