Bling Rx7
Have to agree with you Mike, that kit really suits it. The only thing I would change would be the alloys...I like 'em, but not in chrome. TBH, if I'd had a bit more money a couple of years back I might've gone for an RX-7 instead of a Zed as I think they're a crackin' car. Leigh

wideband 02 group buy?
Exactly what happened when John tried to organise a group buy on the Tech-Edge. Ended up only being me and John that ordered! Can't understand the lack of interest myself as they're such a useful bit of kit

PC Arcade emulators: Which Joystick?
It's a bit on the pricey side so I might still shop around but that is, as Pop Larkin would say, perfick! :D TBH it's given me a few ideas. After Dave C talking about building an arcade console I keep looking at the spare 19" Iiyama monitor I've got that's not doing anything and wondering if that, plus that controller, plus whatever other computer stuff I'd need couldn't be made into a unit just for arcade/console games. Trouble is I wouldn't know what boards/drives/chips I'd need to buy to do the job! Damn my luddite heritage! ;)

PC Arcade emulators: Which Joystick?
After finally figuring out how to sort an emulator for the C64 and Amiga platforms I've been bitten by the bug and have added ones for MAME, Final Burn (alpha), Neo-Geo and SNES. :hyper: The downside is that I'm having to contol everything via the keyboard as I don't have a games controller (up till now I only used my PS2 for games). After having a look at the controllers out there I wondered if anyone on here can recommend a decent one (as from my last post on the subject I know there are a few guys into this!). Something that ideally has lots of assignable buttons and if possible an "old skool" arcade joystick that can take a battering! ;) :D Cheers, Leigh.

Definate thumbs up for mytyres. Used them twice now and their prices are hard to beat. Good delivery time on both occasions as well (about a week). :)

NWS All Paris Hiltons bits , hacked!
Christ. If that isn't some majorly f*cked up publicity stunt on her part it's a SERIOUS invasion of privacy and I wouldn't like to be the poor sod that hacked it when they finally catch him!

Body work ideas
I'm in the same boat at the moment mate! :) Check out the thread I started on this very subject:http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=44636 You can see an example of a Satin black car towards the end, also a link to Alsa corporations website who I've been emailing recently. If you're interested in their products but don't want to go through the hassle of importing them yourself (though it works out slightly cheaper ;)) I've also found a UK distributor. Cheers, Leigh.

Commodore 64 and Amiga Emulator?
YAY! Managed to get my Luddite head round the problem and now got "Shadow of the Beast" playing on my PC! Great looks, terrible game but what the hey, it works!!! Now need to get the equipment to connect the laptop to the TV and a decent joystick! Any thought fella's? I'm now very over-excited! :D :D :D

Commodore 64 and Amiga Emulator?
Sorry Stu, you must bang you're head on the wall when you hear guys like me! I downloaded the Kick ROM and unzipped it...when you say selected it do you mean in the Hardware configuration bit? As when I select another KickROM from the list it brings up a box saying "I need the following ROM etc" so the one's I have don't appear to be being detected.

Ideas for respray...
Well, I finally made up my mind today on what paint I'm going for. Parking up outside the doctors I happened to see a Lotus Exige parked up in the nearby petrol station in the most fantastic gun metal/silver colour. So I've decided to forget the whole subtle flip/satin madness and go with the one colour I've always liked...silver/grey. I think it's going to be more aggressive looking and more in keeping with the overall style I'm going for (and will suit the idea I've had for the interior;)). So, with this in mind I'm currently researching my options...looking through the House of Kolor (Kandy) range as well as trying to find a paint I might like that's used by other car makers already. Hopefully I'll find something soon...;)

Commodore 64 and Amiga Emulator?
Thought I'd have another crack at getting one of these emulators running so: 1.I got hold of an Amiga Kickstart ROM and Workbench 3.1 2.Made sure I have the latest version of Direct X 3.Downloaded WinUAE from http://www.winuae.net/ and go through the installation...however, it does not automatically detect the Kickstart ROM's (1.3 and 3.1) and I'm left with this screen (see attachment) Anyone mind guiding me through what I need to do next as I'm a bit lost and don't want to start a fire by pressing the wrong button!? Outside trim question.
Richard and Pete: Thanks guys, some good info there :) I'm going to strip the coating off this week as it's beyond repair anyway. I might de-grease a section with solvent and test spray some primer to see how it takes.

IN car PC
It might not be "rocket science" mate and good for you for sorting it out, but there are a lot of different options out there and as this subject often comes up for discussion a FAQ is still a good idea, whether you're a "techno retard" or not.

Outside trim question.
Could be that he just fillered in the gap left by the struts? If it was too deep then the filler would have a tendency to crack. I'd do what was done on my rear bumper if the gap was deep (see my Journal!;)) and tack weld steel rods where possible and get the fibreglass matting out. I'll have a closer look at the situation tomorrow I think. Would be good to see a Zed with them photoshopped in body colour! ;)

Outside trim question.
You may be joking but...do you reckon you can? ;) :D
