Astras are getting stupidly expensive!
my mrs has a brand new astra hire car through insurance at moment it's a 1.2, 09 plate and to be honest it's sh!t. Poor visabily, underpowered, airbags everywhere(if you had a crash you wouldn't get out for airbags), plastic, everywhere and door handle's have already come loose and are creaking. Build quality is a bit crap really. If I were in the market I wouldn't pay more than £5k for it dunno what they cost new but bound to be overpriced. Huge on the outside for and astra and no way a crap woman driver could park it due to visability. Also small inside. Plus points, engine is VERY quiet as is the whole cab. Has aircon and mp3 connection and that's about it.

just over 1000miles in a year
sh!te weather most weekends so it doesn't leave the garage, 15-20 mins drive through traffic to get to any decent roads which kind of takes the edge off things as by the time I get to actually "drive" it I'm so frustraited I don't enjoy it , turn round and end up going home:( I've had a few nice early morning runs in it which are far more fun as nobody's about

just over 1000miles in a year
can't really use it as a daily drive as It would cost me over £1000 Extra a year in fuel alone(would almost double my fuel bill) without wear/tear/repairs + 15Kmiles a year on the clocks would soon drop the value . Fortunatley I don't have to walk past the zed to get to the DD sh#tter zeddie's kept in our garage which is in the opposite direction so don't have to choose.

just over 1000miles in a year
Had this zed nearly a year now just looked at the clock pics I took just after I had it and covered less than 2000km/1200miles :( I love this car it's loads better than my pearl one but just not getting any use out of it. Not really thinking of selling but seems a bit pointless spending out on tax, insurance, fancy stuff etc and driving round in a shagged out escort that I do 15,000 a year in struggling it's poor little balls off. what sort of miles are others putting on these cars mines seems more of an expensive ornament than a car:o

ooops
bad pic as wife took it lol the lorry has a dumper truck on the back that has taken a section of the bridge with it and got stuff. I was gonna stop and take a better pic but the driver did not look too pleased  also saw an Aeriel atom in the same 3 miles journey so was quite an eventful trip

How much to spray a bumper
a few of the panels of the car in the pic had been already done and none of them were exactly the same especially under street lighting. To be honest though he didn't do a bad job.

Some c#ck hit my wife's car...again
indeed they can be very awkward. you've got to get cover up to the hilt to get any help at all. Direct line in all fairness that have been a pain with second car policies(suppose that's not their strenght) have been pretty good service wise with the last 2 claims my wife had to make. one repair was near £1k and the second was a write off. Both times my wife was parked up stationary:headvswal

Some c#ck hit my wife's car...again
hi jon hows things, they tried upping the insurance last year due to a non fault claim but they did back down after being confronted about it and policy stayed the same. no claims won't be affected

Some c#ck hit my wife's car...again
my mrs phoned insurance today no excess to pay no claims will be fine and courtesy car included. Doubt the dude would have paid for that as he was driving a shagged out m plate civic. It's going to be fully checked crumple zones, alarm airbags chassis radiator etc as it was shoved over 6ft into the next parking bay bay(luckilly it was empty as the car would be a write off. The insurance also advised not to take up the guys offer of repair(guess they would anyhow) my wife is upset enough as it is I don't think she should have to go out of her way for someone elses carelessness. fingers crossed for a hassle free repair with no tears :D
