  1. just got this on blu ray for my daughter whilst on hols in IOW for a pressie. it has a digital copy and 2 discs (blu ray and a dvd) the digital copy says it's compatible with ipods etc but does anyone know if it will play on a PSP as this would be cool cos she has one of those
  2. just bought a set of series 2 uk clocks for my jdm. Is it ok just to change them or will it interfere with hicas / cruise and do I also need to change the controls for them too? cheers
  3. my focal's fit nicly in the air vents and still leave plenty of airflow
  4. time to start saying a few bed time thank you's to the big guy upstairs in the clouds. You're one lucky fella
  5. These are great for shifting dust on delicate components like screens, lenses etc. I also use one to clean inside my pc
  6. I'm a bit of a closet crx fan too they're rapid little puppies
  7. bet that ruined his day.
  8. been using them for about 2 years right through the house. The only room that doesn't have them is the kitchen as they are halogen and the LED replacements look crap and won't fit in the shades. They are much better that the early ones but for some reason the bathroom one has packed in a few times it's a shorter one in an approved bathroom unit too, load of crap
  9. at the bottom of snatchwood road coming from blaenavon. Thought someone had nicked my car as it was just round the corner from me but it was a series 1 nearest I've seen one to my home who is ya
  10. obviously you know better so i'll leave it there and i'll clutter this thread no more
  11. like I said check it out on the audio forums they will do what they quote(not personally tested one but many threads back up their claims) here's an ex demo cheap http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/7456.html
  12. bang for buck a pair of jbl gt5's and a jbl14001e mono block will rock(and I mean proper loud) and are pretty good for sq too setting you back about £350 new for the lot you can push the full 700w rms through each of those puppies from that amp(it will do a full true 1400w rms if you don't believe me get on the audio forums) all day and they'll love it bit lower power 2 x gt5's and a 7001e 350w rms to each sub( a true 700w rms from the 7001e) and cost you about £250 the lot unless your talkin bigs buck for hi end JL Audio, focal, morel or the like you aint gonna do as good as the above for your budget
  13. I hope not my money (and fingers crossed) is on the shite filter if not will have to get a sandwich plate adapter with a deep thread or summit. I'd have put the old one back on for the night but was a twat to get off and had to put a screwdriver through it as my chain filter tool thingy couldn't get access whats the thread on the block side made of any ideas? looking at the escort k&n filters they have a nut on the end of them for wrench tightening http://www.autoanything.com/oil-filters/Ford/Escort/110A50593A0A0A6A187A1.aspx working on that theory the Escort thread can take some tightening and hopefully my strong right arm :D has only done the £5 filter in
  14. it sheared real easy as the filter had oil on the outside I couldn't turn it with my left hand proper fed up as it was fairly dear oil think it must have been a poorly made filter but was all I could get today. I'll have a good look at it tommorrow with a view to getting a refund and some replacement oil
  15. just did an oil change on the escort, tightened new filter, slid right under to give it a firm tighten with my un oily right hand and the feckin thing sheared the thread. Tightened it an bit more as it was spinning to be able to move the car from kerbside topped it up and moved it. Got about half way round the block to my parking space red oil light then came on with about 4 litres of shell helix sprayed everywhere ffs. Think I shall retain the filter for return and some more oil. What a load of crap
  16. must be an escort thing then it doesn't smoke or use any oil at all goes like a bomb again now the split was nearly an inch long. Also had a bit of a read elsewhere an a guy was running a td escort at 30 psi with no ill effects sold it on after 6 months of that and was still running fine 2 years later. Don't know if he had to alter the fuelling at all though I can't find any info. Would be nice to have a play the actuator looks adjustable too it has a nut and windey bit on it
  17. well I had a good look today and fixed it, long live the escort! Made a boost leak tester(took air filter pipe off, put it around my gob and blew hard) had a feel around all the pipes coming out of the turbo and felt a huge split on the back of the main pipe between the turbo and intercooler. However there is a fair amount of oil inside this pipe I take it this means the turbo oil seals are on there way out or is this normal for a diesel
  18. On my escort TD I have (i think ) a large boost leak that makes a whooshing sound that can be heard in the cab quite loud. The faster the turbo spins the louder the noise gets. I'm not loosing any oil or coolant that is noticable , power is down and the vehicle is not smoking at all so I'm guessing the turbo housing aint cracked or owt. I have checked the large pipe going to the plenum and put new jubilee clips on it. Could the turbo be knackered and not leak fluids also do the plenum thingies have gaskets that could go or any othe pipes? Not overly concerned as it's a bit of a shed anyways but would like to run it til it's next mot time.
  19. Joiner( for 21 years) for a nationwide shopfitting company mainly contracts for the big supermarket chains. Didn't much like it in the office they tried to rope me into it about 5 years ago but found it p!ss boring. Maybe different in a few years if I can get my arse into gear trained up on CAD.
  20. just had a though I think it's white spirits not meths that removes it. Anyhoo's if it's not one its the other. I had some on the rug in sitting room from road tar and it came out easy and was a cream part of the rug too
  21. got it now, I hadn't turned on display all files in the setting (thick Tw@t) family guy season 8 here we come
  22. just updated the software to see if this would work as a m8 said it should(a m8 of his has a ps3 that runs xvid) as his does on the xbox but cant get it to play xvid stuff any ideas? divx seems to be ok though
  23. also just to prepare you I think the stuff is bitumen based so can be removed from hands/ clothes and everything else it decides to adhere to using meths
  24. it's too big already competition would be costly to set up and at great risk . There was a welsh bay down here online which lasted all of 5 mins.
