  2. Hi peeps, I am looking to get myself a chainsaw for cutting some logs for my fire. My brother is a gardener, and says "the only one to get is sthil, mculloc, or similar. Now, i as i have said to him, i am not looking for the "be all, and end all" of chainsaws, just something that will cut some logs for a few days ready for the cold season, anyway, i have seen this on e-bay and just wanted to know what you all thought. (A bit long winded......soz). Al. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370340525135&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  3. I have TeinFlex SS for over 3 years now and cannot fault them. Great set of coilovers, for a great price imo. Al.
  4. Oh my god......... that Vulcan is unbelievable!!!!!! Fantastic vid matey!!! The merlins (i think) are great too, something about the old prop sound, gets me excited, lol!!! Al.

  6. I have an asi large core rad and have ditched the expansion tank. Been over 2 years now with no overheating problems at all, hard driving, traffic jam for over 1hr, its all good here. :) Al.
  7. Or...... if you are trying to steer round a bend, 1 way is a battle and the other goes round a dream :)..........if you know what i mean, lol. Al.
  8. Everyone's age is now showing, lol!! Al.
  9. And look at the reduction in length!!!! I am sure the ol' fudge was longer than that!! Al.
  10. It is quite surreal when this kind of thing happens. It all depends on who has been "ripped off" and who has done the "ripping off". And i sit here thinking, you are not allowed to get personal, and add little inuendo's, as this is a public forum..........or is it 1 rule for 1 and 1 rule for another?
  11. Skyline R33 R34 calipers will cost a bit of money, £500-£900, but are a direct bolt-on. 350Z calipers are pricey too, and would need a relocating bracket for fitment to the hub. If your budget is big, then go for the k-sport, D2 set-up, great bit of kit, direct bolt on too. Luke at the Zcentre sells them. Small budget, i would advise relocating brackets for 350Z discs, standard calipers, on the front (just dont brake too hard!!). Leave the rears as is.
  12. Happy birthday matey!! Al.
  13. Happy birthday matey!!
  14. I am there too buddy, will be a good day!!! I got warped discs at the mo, but hopefully, i will have a new front brake set-up, if not then i will be > into the bends!!!!! lol!! (Might have some family members with me too, if thats ok.) Al.
  15. Fuel is on site matey, towing eyes are not an issue at Snetterton, "bits in ur car" is an issue as you say, "must be a clean car", so to speak. And yes, "put ur hat on", as in all track days, lids must be worn. al.
  16. Top call matey, shells are a must for an engine change/rebuild. Top call again, running in a rebuild must be with standard oil (mineral) then, semi synthetic, then fully synthetic. 500-1000 miles between. As instructed by the best................. "JIMMER" ^^^^the best 300zx engine man^^^^ Al.
  17. 5 spokes all day long matey imho. Classic car, classic looks, classic alloys..... 5 spoke. Al.
  18. Zeds in the family, great matey!!! My son is 10, and he is set on getting a 300 for his first car. I think the insurance will change his mind when he is 17, lol. Al.
  19. Nice one matey, bet you can't wait to get her on the road!! Al.
  20. Whatever date you book, get there early. I don't know if you have done a track day at Snetterton before but, you can get a "garage" which is open pit side and drive side. Nice to keep the car in the "garage", go do some laps, come back to the garage, set the car up a little, back on the track, etc, you get the idea. Let me know what you book and i will try to get there with you, 2 zeds on a track would be great. Al.
  21. You might have seen this, but this is what i booked last year, but it was only an evening which was £89 and you get 3hrs of driving. For £20 more that the novice day, it is by far a better track day experience. http://www.clubmsv.co.uk/car-home/calendar.aspx?venID=Snetterton&duration= Al.
  22. I would go for the open pit lane matey, gives you more time on the track, when you want to go on the track. With a novice track day you will get mostly inexperienced drivers who want to try cornering at high speed (+30mph) and go fast on the straights (+90). IMO i would avoid a novice day. A 300 is too fast for this. Open pit lane is, as it says, including cars like.... kit cars, tvr's, porsche's, scooby's, evo's, etc. I will have a look over the next few days at motorsportvision and see what they are offering around that time. Al.
  23. Hey virus, I have done a track day at Snertton, great fun. The only thing to check is making sure the car is running good, really. I will be off that day so i may come up and join you. Who did you book with, was it Motorsport vision? Have you booked a day or evening? Is it open pit lane, or novice, intermediate or advanced? Al.
  24. Thanks guys!! Anyone got a set of 350z discs for sale!! LOL!! Al.
  25. It will be hard to find a set of hub-centric spacers at 5mm, most start at approx 15-20 (they need the thickness to make them pick up on the hub). The only option is to buy a thicker set and machine them down to your prefered size. (As i did). Al.
