Don't go to Hunstanton then!!!! LOL Al.
  3. If i had the funds matey, i would go for the BIG kit, but alas, i cannot :( For now, i think i will bite-the-bullet and go for a good quality 350Z disc and see what happens. If the discs warps again.........I'm gonna fu**&% m&^% fu^%$%$g C&^£* LOL. Many thanks for the input guys, Al.
  4. A bit of paint on my spoiler, get my braking sorted, then burn some rubber in the summer baby!!!!!! Al.

If you have kiddies, Hunstanton is great for little 'uns, north coast, up in the wash. Al.
  6. I always respect my brakes, they need to be good. I have never stopped on the pedal after a heavy brake on the last 3 discs, (i did it once and you can see the imprint of the pad on the disc!!) always braked hard then let off at a good speed and carried on for some time to get vital air to the disc. I dunno......My 2 options as i see it are: Get a good quality 350Z disc, say brembo, dba, cpz, etc and see how they go, or.... Go for the whole caboodle, big brake, D2, k-sport, r33-34 brembo set-up, etc.... (A confused and fustrated) Al. (With little funds!!!) LOL
  7. OK..... Let me tell you my brake story.... I have replaced my calipers with original Z1 refurbed one's, got relocating brkt's, 350Z discs (brembo set-up), and yellow pads. Now.... i have warped 3 disc's in 12 months, braking from 160+ down to 100-70mph in one hit. Now i am looking to get the D2/K-sport set-up for my front rotors, but..........am i gonna pay £800-£1200 worth of disc/caliper/pad set-up and get to that speed again, brake hard, then.....BANG!!! All that money gone, discs warped due to, too much heat, bad disc,etc.... Has anyone here got the big brake set-up, and got to these speeds and put the pedal to the floor, and the discs survived? I just do not want to throw approx. £1200 at my brakes, brake hard, and to be in the same state they are in now, i would rather pay £150 for a set of discs and throw them away after the track day. (1-2 track days/yr) btw, this is all on open pit, track days. (never on public roads). Al.
  8. I have yellows fitted to my fronts, and they say the cold bite is bad, i think it is ok. When warm/hot they are great, excellent stopping power, fitted by the best.............."jimmer". Al.
  9. A simply and quick remedy is some dry clear lubricant in spray form (partco, in a can). It will help the belt grip the metal pulley. Al.
  10. The sound/feeling of a 300 engine running on 5 cylinders can be very mis-leading. My 300 sits on my drive, not covered, over winter in the elements. When i start the 'ol girl after 2-3 weeks and take her for a drive, she seems to run on 5, but..... she does not. It is simply the intake filter taking in water/moisture and affecting the maf. After driving for 30-40 mins, all is fine. This could be the issue, owing to the fact of the climate. Also, another factor could be boost/vac leak, depends on how she handles on light gas and hard gas. HTH. Al.
  11. I think many people are up for this, and can only assume that KIRBZ is busy with other things and will post here some dates for people to ponder. I am up for this, just need the right set of dates. (On hols, and work shift) Al.
  12. Me think u want a slicky Joel??!!??! Al.
  13. From what you describe jim, this seems to be the problem. 1 acuator fighting the other for greater boost., or so to speak. I think, because the 300 is a V6, everything has to be balanced just right, equal properties on both banks. Set the drivers side up and post back ur findings matey. Hope it works out for u bud. Al.
  14. Hi all, i have seen a thread regarding the way to re-align the gear knob, but i cannot find it. Does anyone know where/ how to make the stick line up nicely? When i screw mine all the way, she faces west. (if you know what i mean) Cheers, Al.

  17. When i was looking for a part at my Nissan dealer, he asked if my 300 was uk or jap....... when i said it was jap, the little pr**k said "uk nissan dealers do not supply jap spec cars"!!!!!!! Fu**ing c**k. It makes my blood boil!!! Al.

Ok EA people, lets get some locations and dates started. Early March usually has good weather, so any weekend in the early March. Location??? Maybe somewhere between Bury and Norwich (more Norwich way, to entice members from that area out!!). If you are from that "neck-of-the-woods", post up a good pub, forest, photo area to meet. Lets get this ball rolling guys and girls. Al.
