two hundred percent behind Jay on this, I dont eat vegetables at all. Was up in Glasgow the other week, took my parents out for a meal, ordered a "Carpet bagged" sirloin (14oz sirloin steak, wrapped in cheese and onion for those who don't know) and specified that I wanted steak and chips on my plate, nothing else (chips aren't a vegetable-FACT (Sorry Mac)) Meal comes, there is tomato, cucumber, lettuce and a SLICE OF ORANGE on my plate. Me: Excuse me, if I was a vegetarian, would you put a load of meat on the side of my plate? Waiter: Certainly not Sir Me: In that case, having taken the time to explain my exact requirements, why TF have you chosen to put vegetables on my plate? Waiter: Those aren't vegeatbles sir.........THEY ARE GARNISH (Short interlude whilst I eat my meal, no way was that going back in the kitchen after a complaint, I know people who work in kitchens) Waiter: your bill Sir? ...........£44.95 Me: Hands waiter £45 and walks away Waiter: Your change , Sir Me: Thats not change.......Thats your tip...W*NKER

I like the guy, he is funny, blatantly says things to wind people up and gets paid for it (who wouldnt want a job like that?) Also, apparently his office at home, you are not allowed in it if you dont smoke. Any one who is prepared to give the two fingered salute to the health nazis is ok by me :)

The benefits of a good earth are easy to agree with, like Jezz I cant see where the powered comes from. There is a write up on TT net about installing an earth net, and if you want it to look pretty then use 10mm red power cable (halfords do a shiny one for amp powering) or use the heavy amp speakert cable available in any good car audio store. Either of those will have "high grade quality copper" and will give the same effect as this set up, and wont cost that much (especially when you take into account the import/tax) HTH

This has caused me to ponder. HAve just sold my volvo fro a mitsubishi which, if anything, spins up more than the zed (has TC fitted). So, would actually be safer driving the zed to work. However, the zed needs its heater matrix replaced (still in the box, baggins :)) so would be a lot comfier in the mitsi. Looks like I will either be fitting TC to the mitsi or heater matrix to the zed

Unless of course the leak is on the engine side of the thermostat., in which case it will only happen if the engine is warm also. If you have been leaking coolant, even if there is no mysterious damp patches, there should be some sign: a build up of deposits, usually looks like brown limescale. Where the water (hot and underpressure) escapes and evapourates immediately it will leave behind anything that is in solution, be it rust or coolant or whatever. Have a good look at the hoses and see if any of them have this, a good sign that you are leaking from there. HTH

Sorry mate but, IIRC, the allowance is for cars where a standard plate would not fit. If for example you had a car where the space for the number plate was square or too small, you could fit a smaller/ square plate. The Zed method of fitting doesnt come under it as there no restriction on the size of plate you could put on there. Apart from the fact it looks pants. I wonder at the people being stopped for it tho, I drive mine around with a very loud exhaust, blacked out windows, through the centre of croydon, never been stopped for it.

cant see why you would have an air box, custom or otherwise when you have an induction. The induction kit is suppoosed to replace the standard airrbox and filters???

Just had a little trip home to Scotland (six hours each way, good going, nasty infrared cameras on the M6 tho) to pick up my new car. Got shot of the S70 Volvo (2.5, 20v auto) I had as an everyday car and picked up a Mitsubishi Galant (2.5, V6, 24v, manual). Now I thought the zed was juicy, and even the volvo was no stranger to the local Shell garage, but the mitsi is evil.lol. Though it is very brisk considering what it is. Jap petrol must be cheap as chips
