if you are half way competent with a spanner, you should have no problem. Give yourself a clear day for the first one tho. And buy yourself a set of long reach allen keys, everything else you need, you will have in a reasonable tool box :)
  3. Dont think of the money Mac, think of the Kudos :D
  4. Is the Masons banned then? News to me:rolleyes:
  5. When you thinking of doing this matt? Gimme a bell, and I will try to be available 07812-586102

  7. what you want is a nice little dremmel mate :)
  8. Am talking to abbey motorsport tommorow, if they give sensible money will get them to do it, if not I will do it after the RR day.
  9. Of course, Ill swop you my diff, for your shiny new engine :)
  10. Dont know if there is a specific port for the auto box, but there is capability to do a check on the autobox within consult, what it does I dont know as I have a manual, ask danny zat in the traders forum
  11. I found that if you are doing incremental backups, you can buy generic cd-r's which are cheap as chips and just throw them away when you do your back-up, that way you have a pristine recording everytime :)
  12. I dont know from the mechanical side of things, but I can say that I have thrown enough bikes down the road to tell you that the loss of confidence/bottle/whatever is an entirely rational reaction. I still have moments on right hand bends (my binning position of choice) and its been a while since I binned a bike (months at least :)) it will just take some time for it to settle, but it will :)
  13. If you have any mechanical ability, there is nothing in the 60k service you cant do yourself :)
  14. Nice one tony :)

bought the glass fibre from zcentre, sprayed it with the cans they make up for you in halfords, and my 99 front end, doesnt look that clever, but i used a red undercoat when it should have been white and so paint is a half tone too dark, also I am cack at spraying (no patience). if you are half way decent/ patient, it should be no problem for you.
  16. as a chip, its worth about 1.50, the program on the chip is freely available, co in total, about 1.50 then :)

If you paint the original rear spoiler it will only bubble and crack again. Reasioon being that the spoiler is made of foam , and once the water gets into it, it is goosed. Second hand originals will suffer from the same fate. zed center spoilers Have a look there, fibreglass copies of the originals, or different versions HTH Ps. welcome to a growing band of NA owners on the forum :)
  19. Have seen a couple of times where someone has mounted their gauges etc in their glove box. I have mounted a racelogic traction control unit in the ashtray, but it was exactly the size of the ashtray and even then took a bit of work with a dremmel
  20. Right, abit of advice if you will. Having finished the heater matrix, the second on my to do list this week is the bushes. I have a full set of poly bushes to go on and have two options: A: D.I.Y., looks like a load of grief, and have the problem of getting the car off the deck and leaving it there while the job goes on or B: Pay someone to do it for me Thoughts?
  21. I think it is a 32mm. But I could be well wrong :(
  22. looks good mate, I like the bonnet scoop. Be nice to see it finished
  23. Serious thanks due to Baggins (and Duffs tele help line)for helping me with my heater matrix, for those who fancy doing this , the write up doesnt apply to manuals, and DONT DO IT. This is not a good way to see your pride and joy: Ryan, many thanks, all done and dusted now, will be waiting for the RLTC call :) have a good new year mate
  24. what did you do to my motor (cue: you was only meant to blow the bl**dy doors off gag)
