Having done this myself twice now, I know exactly how much work went in there, look bloody good mate. What glue did you use? and did you take the material off the doorcards before you covered them?

painting Z front
Arthur, Halfords will match the paint lovely (believe the paint code is AG2) Definately use a white primer, I used a red and it makes the paint a half shade too dark, well noticeable.

Iridium spark plugs; are they really any good?
I can only say, that as an NA driver, possibly the most powerful NA on the forum, I have run mine for the last year on copper. In the belief, correct or otherwise, if things get silly the copper will melt before the piston does. Preparing to be pelted, and lambasted for not buying a proper car with turbos :)

"plus VAT"
The fact is, if you are vat registered , you pay the tax man vat on all goods and services. It is easier to put vat on all your invoices than to run two seperate invoice systems one for those who use the vat system (so that they can reclaim the right amount) and one for those who dont. But the garage themselves dont have any choice as to what they do or dont charge VAT on.

HICAS good or bad?
I ticked the NA option, but have driven a TT with HICAS and didnt like the way it handled fast sweepers. Also I span the car I was driving and, had it been HICAS free I think I could have recovered the slide which the spin started with but with the hicas trying to assist me in the correction I ended up overcorrecting and then trying to compensate for that and it all went the way of the pear. It is possible that had I been used to the way the HICAS operated I would have done it better, but I hadnt driven a car fitted with it before and it was an unwelcome addition. I know that I can slide my NA to a ridiculous point and still recover it. 2p

body fluids
Lol mike (thanks for the pointer the other day BTW, lovely job, up and running already :) ) Just one of these silly questions that arises out of conversations, didnt really require an answer. My own thoughts are that I would rather know the person, that way you at least have some idea of what you risk catching, if nothing else :)

body fluids
Having a discussion with a mate today which prompted a question (dont ask about the discusion, too long a story) Question: if you found yourself with your hand in a puddle of body fluids, would you want it to belong to A) someone you knew or b) someone you didnt know Made for a long discussion :)

Bad taste jokes.....
I think this ia a humanitarian tragedy. The only good thing to come out of this has been that it has brought it to the attention of the public at large, which has forced the gangs who trade on peoples misery to improve their working conditions in the form of a pay rise. Apparently it wont be much, but it will help them keep their heads above water.

Should I nitrous my N/A
If you want sanity police: At the end of the day what you do to your car, or which model you drive is a personal choice. Nitrous, for me, is about the engineering of it, this is why it has taken me so long to fix it. I could have just bolted it on and gone silly with it, but i want it done properly. And all the people who think it is about how fast the others guys car is, are missing the point. If you are happy with your car, then fook them as cant take a joke. If your not, buy a TT, supra, skyline whatever melts your butter.

- Question about front number plates
Quite a few cars have a stick on plate, I think the law (apart from the Size/ gap/ font) says that it has to be clearly visible from the front (but not above !!)- Bleeding the water system
yes, but about three inches down the neck of the over flow tank is a 2inch hole, so the rad would only besucking in any water in the hose and then air- Bleeding the water system
In that the rad cap allows water to flow two ways yes, but how can it draw water from the overflow , as there is a big drain hole in the tank, which would preclude the vaccum required?- Bleeding the water system
Why would you do that? The reservoir tank recieves water from the radiator but doesnt return water to the system. So why fill it up?- Should I nitrous my N/A
Tell you what mate, lets make it fair, you strip your car down to the £500 my car cost me, and I will race one of your new pistons over the standing 1/4.lol- Should I nitrous my N/A
F*ck being your mate Paul.lol- Should I nitrous my N/A
Should bolt straight on, and will help your acceleration no end. Did i mention that until a TT spools up an NA is faster of the line?- Valentines Day
Dont be so hard on yourself Andy, its just a case of people getting to know you :)- Should I nitrous my N/A
In answer, 1) In some cases I would like more power, else why would I look at NOS, that doesnt mean I want a TT 2) Ask anyone who is honest on this forum. An NA with an open pipe has a gorgeous throaty and loud roar, TT's just dont sound as good. 3)If HiCAS didnt mess up your handling, why are there so many mods/ HiCAS restrictors on sale? some people are even looking to buy NA steering pumps in order to remove it from their system completely. I didnt say your turbos are going to blow up, but if you have them, it is not exactly unknown is it? On an NA, its not a problem. I did tell the "kid " to thrash his car, but nowhere did I say that he should ride around at Hi Revs, I said that the power was in the HI Revs, by which I meant that he should allow the car to rev freely ( I have raised my rev limiter, as do most of the tuners who work on NA's) before changing up, thus accessing the power that lies in the upper rev range. And I repeat again that any Zed is a fast car, some are faster, no argument, but none which are running properly and cared for are slow. proof of the pudding, if you like, is that there is less of a gap (RWBHP) between my NA and the "standard" TT's than there is between the "standard" TT's and the guys pushing big power. So, to extrapolate your argument, do we not only "all want a TT", but also all want a 500RWBHP TT? and if so, Why is yours standard? Dont you "want more power"? - Question about front number plates
