steering boot - ball joint removal necessary
A universal boot will do the job.

F-ing PCV valves
and an extension bar on the socket, so you can get the ratchet on just behind the plenum.

a national meet
Ive been to Amsterdam and Eurodisney in mine with no issues. I think if you maintain it well and replace the known worn/weak points you will be fine.

It is noticeable in some instances that sig pics have increased in size and in some cases ( you know who you are :tt2:) take up most of a post. I know you want to show off your pride and joy, but thats why we have a rides section. Could those with extra large sig pics please reduce them down a bit in size. It can distract from what is written in a post as well as page opening time for those with slower machines. Many thanks for your co-operation. Graham

na under plenum water tubes etc
Yep all the water and vac tubes can go especially if youve got rid of the EGR and AIV's makes it even more simplified.

Knock sensor
Hi Paul, On conzult is the sure way to see if its working, as it transmits through the ECU which can be read. If the knock sensor is out of the car it can be tested. Most problems with the knock sensor is down to the loom to the ECU.

Knock sensor
Same block, just different internals. The knock sensor is just a peizo (microphine) which senses knocking in the block, so i dont see why it wont work as it should.

well that didnt take long...........
If they had a radar gun or incar camera they would be able to tell you the exact speed you were doing, i think being told you were exceeding 70mph is a bit vague and if thats all they have to go on, then i would let it go to court, if it gets that far. The amount of miles per hour over the legal limit enables the judge to set the fine accordingly. I would seek legal advice on this as you may be lucky and have a case against. And Welcome to the club:thumbup1:

key doesnt open doors
You might only have the valet key, but then it should still unlock the doors at least. Before taking off the door cards to check the mechanism, try the boot first, take of the plastic centre cover and take a look at the barrel from inside the boot and see if it rotates when you turn the key. I assume the key fits the locks but isnt turning them.
