My Soulmate Bill has passed away
Sorry to hear your news Trish, its a cruel world and you would think after all the years and amount of money into research you would have thought we should have had some sort of prevention or fix by now. I remember Chewie, when i first met you both down in the New forest back in 2007? My condolences to you both

Valve Keeper installer tool
I used large spring compressors that have a fairly open topped claw, i wasnt aware at the time of the correct tool so as i managed to get it to work i got them all done in no time really

Valve Keeper installer tool
By the keepers you mean the two little suckers that hold the valve spring in once compressed? I just compressed the valve spring and using a combination of an thin aerial type magnet and mini flat blade screwdriver, placed them into position and released the compressor slowly.

Idle Air Control Valve, will it fit?
Check the ptu connections and cas plug too :thumbup1: You can do a continuity test from the ecu end with the + probe and use some extra wire connected to the - probe and buzz through. The ecu pin out diagram is in the tech faq section or online manual. I did have a pin issue on one of my injectors at the ecu end, in which i had to solder a jumper on the board as the track had burned out slightly, it caused my issue at the time.

Idle Air Control Valve, will it fit?
You can disconnect the O2 sensors, the ecu will run a means setting, no O2's are better than dodgy ones. As Dougal said its likely a sympton because of the misfire. Check the coil connectors and injector connectors again to make sure they are clean, then seated all the way home.

Starter relay inhibitor.....UK car?
Behind the splash guard on the drivers wheel arch, basically the same pic as the TT.net, but of course their cars are left hand drive, hence they mention drivers side.

Just bought my Zs Grandfather
Nice to hear from you Trish, sorry to hear about Bill, hope he recovers to better health :thumbup1: The 280z was my first introduction to the zed bug back in the nineties when my ex father-in-law had one, also he had a 260z with a 280 engine in it, which i got to drive for a while, till i got the gears caught between 4th and fifth lol. I was told to go careful, but was showing off to a mate, was in my early twenties and had no respect to what is now a classic. Look forward to the pics, must be a great example with that mileage:thumbup:
