  1. I think when a lot of us have our cars finished, there will be a fair few more faces for meets, i think getting the club into other major or smaller events can only be a good thing. It will raise the profile of the Z32 and the club plus raise member sprirts/enthusiasm further and give members some markers to aim for showing off their cars.
  2. And also you do not fill the expansion tank on the right hand side, its not an expansion tank, its an overflow tank for coolant to be dumped by the rad, then drawn back as it requires, im sure you didnt mean to come across as sarcastic, but please remember there are enthusiasts who know these cars well and then there are zed lovers who might not know much about the workings but love driving it. Welcome to the club by the way :whistling:
  3. :happybday: All the best, hope you have a great day :happybday:
  4. I hope you are going to be doing black hoses too lol
  5. Welcome back Craig, hope youre on the mend and make a full recovery soon.
  6. :happybday: Have a great day :happybday:
  7. mmm I have some 2k laquer which ive used on my cam covers, but still took days to harden and its still not completely cured. Ive ordered an infrared heater/light for curing paint, hopefully that will give the boost it needs to go hard lol.
  8. Is this all for free and is it for a z31 perhaps?
  9. Is that the same zed you sprayed with rattle cans? not a bad finish considering.
  10. Hi Mate, no its passenger side behind the rear panel next to the seat, its a blue relay which you can also hear click open and closed when you push the door button in, i will dig out which colour is live, cant remember off hand lol. I can get get some pics in the morning if it helps, unless phutumsch beats me to it lol
  11. It seems like a 110mph face/clock has been put on instead of a 180,so not giving a true reading from the dial face.
  12. When you push the front fog switch, regardless of whether you have front fogs or not, the sidelights/dash lights will come on, its standard and perfectly normal lol. If you cant find your rear fog feed from the switch, just run another wire, will only take you half hour, with re hiding the wire.
  13. For ali or steel, ive used the brown and the grey bars for the first cutting of the flat metal, bear in mind you cant polish a turd  so prep metal before the first cutting process. Brown bar for ali Grey bar for steel The red bar on a softer mop is a milder cut, it will get rid of the light scratch marks made with the first cut. Blue bar is the finish block on a soft buffing mop, it will bring the shine. I use vienna lime (white powder) between cuts/bar changes to get rid of any grease or residue from the previous mop.
  14. You will need a sisal cutting mop with a brown or grey bar for ali/steel, you then work down to the red bar with a softer mop, then blue for the final polish. The different coloured bars are for different metals and finishes. You can buy a starter kit from Halfords for about £15 or get a kit off ebay. If you type into ebay metal polishing, then its all there....
  15. :happybday: Have a great day :happybday:
  16. Thats a good kit, but i wouldnt recommend wearing the gloves to hold a piece of metal you are polishing using a wheel at high revs, if you catch it in the wheel you could lose a finger or worse. I use the disposable vinyl or rubber gloves to keep your hands a bit cleaner. Metal polishing is time consuming but very fulfilling when you get the end results.
  17. That is bad lol, but when mine went the rubber had completely disappeared. I got the banging under the tunnel when pulling away, then silence once going along. Replaced with a secondhand one, but now got vibration :hammer:
  18. Cheers lol, but your still trying to beat me on the led front :lol: I just started spraying the cambelt covers today so will get a couple more pics up when they are ready.
  19. Thats such a shame Gary, she hasnt had is that long either. Glad she isnt hurt, i know it must have shaken her up abit. I would say with it being a convertible the chassis would be stronger to compensate for no roof, so you might be lucky with a new door and wing, with repair to the rear quarter. Hope its not too serious, i bet she loved her little Ka.
  20. Cheers for the comments, its getting there and should look great when its finished. Ive had the luxury of having plenty of time on it, but im pushing to get it all finished in the next couple of months ready for the car being resprayed in August and ready for JAE.
  21. Yes throttle cover ive modded, ive sanded down the nissan logo, will be sprayed yellow with chrome Nissan letters, will get some pics up when ive done it lol
  22. :happybday: Have a great day :happybday:
  23. :happybday: All the best and have a great day :happybday:
  24. Hi Jason, i finished the soundproofing up to the back seats, just had some more delivered to do the rest of the car. The boot panels will be off soon to be flocked, like Anthony has just done, then i have a powered sub thats going to be hidden so the boot as a whole is still useable, im not going down the route of mega boot builds like some of you guys, i need the space for shopping lol.
