Redundant AGAIN!
Shit mate, sorry to hear that. The cheeky fukkers - going insolvent and not letting you know in advance. I'm sure you'll get something sorted soon.

Problems with the fireblade....
It's carbed then, not FI. I'd be looking for a kinked / blocked fuel or vacuum pipe then I guess...? Are all the pipes correct on the fuel tap? Sorry can't be more help.

Electric or Wet ?
Wet - Gillette vibrating one (oo-err!) Has anyone else tried buying blades from eBay? I got loads of genuine Gillette ones cheap and they seem ok - but someone said they got some which were duff - counterfeit perhaps?

Problems with the fireblade....
What year Blade is it? Maybe you've knocked something while you were doing the work. IIRC you'd have to have the tank and airbox off to change plugs...? Could be a lose/trapped vaccum hose or electrical connector maybe?

jap show 24th june
I think there's days when it's easier to get a run at Santa Pod TBH. It's pretty busy on Japshow day. I think there were huge queues (like several hours) in the past and people got pretty p1ssed off.. Don't let me put you off going though. I'm sure it'll be a top day.

Back in the Nissan stable.....
Nice one. I always fancied one of them. I saw a Uras kitted wide arch one recently I'm still thinking about putting an offer for - it looked so much better than the Zed.

Question for the clever folk out there...
That would have saved me a good few minutes if I'd known! D'oh At least I've checked it and come up with the same answer. I assume 87mm piston means a 87mm bore? Or do the rings take up any space?
-
Question for the clever folk out there...
Just done it with my calculator! I'm getting 2.629 litres with a 87cm bore (/piston) and the standard 73.7mm stroke. Standard would be 2.568L
-
Question for the clever folk out there...
Yep, I think volume of a cylinder = area of cross section X height So what's the original bore / cylinder diameter of the R34 GTR?
-
Question for the clever folk out there...
If a Skyline R34 GTS V-spec has oversize pistons (87mm), what's its capacity? Or if anyone knows the standard piston size I could work it out from that I think...

Very Sad Day
Oh no, that's very sad. :( You and your wife must be so upset. You get attached to them before they're even born. Great name for the little fella too. RIP Zacharias

Wheels
42 offset isn't that far out is it? There's always the question of the spokes clearing the calipers though.

Meguairs demo
I heard Meguairs do a free demo for car clubs. A group go along to their Daventry HQ (weekday evening / Sat morning). You get a complimentary drink, a 45 minute talk on how to use their products. Then you go to their specially lit detailing bay. They pick one car and clean it showing how to use all their products properly. Everyone gets some free samples too. I think there's a lot more to cleaning a car than many of us think. It could make a good / interesting meet. I think they're well booked up in advance though.

Can't believe Connery's loosing to Brosnan. Connery was handy and Brosnan is a wuss.

The Cable Guy
Cable Guy was great - really dark. After the straighter comedy of Mask, Ace Ventura (one and two) and Dumb and Dumber, it was an interesting departure.
