All cars drop in value. Very, very, very, very few ever go up. All this green / eco stuff isn't exactly going to help 3 litre sports cars either. Plus the 300ZX has a reputation for costing a lot if they go wrong - that's only going to become more of a factor as the cars get older. Plus you can get a 350Z for about £12K now - and they're only getting cheaper too. Maybe mint, standard, low mile cars will appreciate a little in a few years. But I wouldn't count on it.

I'd worry about anyone doing a job as big as replacing a gearbox. There's lots of potential for things to go wrong. Plus you're putting in a 15 year old gearbox that you won't know the full history for. And getting rid of your own working gearbox. Takemetothepub kust sold his nice series 2 TT manual for £3K. Would a manual box really add £1000 to the value of your car? Wiser folk than me say it will but I'd still tread carefully. I wouldn't do it TBH. I appreciate others would.

Good time mate. I had a go a while ago and the best I did was a 15.8 (on my first ever run!) at Santa Pod in me LWB NA auto. I've since fitted an inction kit and cat back exhaust but I don't think they'd make any difference - and bigger wheels which would probably slow me down! My car's no drag machine - probably the slowest Z32 variant. :( Didn't Chunk used to do low 13s? And I think 'black slag' did low 13s too maybe??? I'd like to see Macs, CJs or Paul300's cars go up the strip in anger. Come on lads. I'll drive for you if you papper yer breeks ;) :dance:

Couple more...

The first good clean of the year. I got a load of Meguir's stuff - car shampoo and three stages - paint cleanser, polish and wax. It's bought the car up nice! Looks like one of my LED sidelight bulbs may have gone though - will have to investigate tomorrow.

You haven't had a lot of luck with that car. I wouldn't blame you if you broke it.
