  1. I was quoted £2000 just for the labour on a TT conversion. Doesn't sound like a quick job.
  2. That's 22.7mph (fuel @ 90p per litre)
  3. I know a few but they're all £350-£500+. Might manage to get a discount though? I've done a bit for magazines - but I don't have a decent camera at the moment.
  4. Merde. As Leigh says though - they're probably not serious.
  5. My current TV is nearly 20 years old.
  6. Looks good but I don't really want to spend over a grand on a telly.
  7. Someone else told me this: Both this (the Philips 42") and the old Sony Bravia already mentioned are only 720p native. Each can probably scale a 1080i picture down to fit, but with some loss of picture quality. Neither can do 1080p. Sony's PS3, for example, will only play Bluray films in 1080p or 1080i. If you don't (or can't) pick the comparatively crappy scaled 1080i option, both of these TVs will display in 576p if you're lucky. This is only enhanced definition, one step up from standard definition (576i). Also: HDMI 1.3 - why your HDTV is already out of date http://www.avreview.co.uk/news/article/mps/UAN/791/v/1/sp/ Sony Bravia IPTV http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/news/2007/01/16/CES-The-Last-Word/p3 Which is why they're flogging them off cheap
  8. Quoted so you can't remove it when you sober up!
  9. It's mine - cheers mate. :duffer: I'd just cleaned it the other week and took a few photos. That was me favourite.
  10. Fair play mate - she sounds like she's got her head screwed on. Recreational drugs are demonized somewhat and plenty of normal people take them and enjoy them and never have any problems. All said though, I don't think they do anyone any real good and best steer clear in the long run.
  11. If I had the money I'd get Remus. Their bike stuff is top quality, it's rare, quad tailpipes, almost square in shape IIRC.
  12. I saw this TV in Tesco for £899 - seemed cheap for a Sony. http://www.cheaptelly.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=1107&osCsid=057d0e7f3d9c9b636a5823e787c39acd It's £829 delivered from that website. Anyone know why it's priced more like a less well regarded brand? Is it an old model or something? Is it a good buy? I like Sony as my current Sony TV has lasted about 20 years.
  13. First challenge will be taking the lap top to pieces! I've positioned a book so it rests on the lead so it's constantly 'plugged in'. Not a brilliant solution though.
  14. Very nice mate. They look spot on. I think they're light too so good for performance/economy as well.
  15. Cheers - I'll have a go at taking it apart soon and see what I can see. Many thanks.
  16. laptop power socket's gone iffy.... can I mend it? It only works when I wiggle the wire as it enters the computer. Mostly it's not connected unless I wiggle it right. I guess there's a bad connection in the power in socket in the computer. Can you get these things mended? Could I try and do it myself? It's an Acer. Thanks folks.
  17. Happy birthday mate :duffer: :duffer: On a bank holiday weekend too. :duffer: :duffer:
  18. Glad you've got it on the road mate - it's too good a car to not be. Road tax is insane over there!
  19. Come on, you can tell us, we're all friends here. ;)
  20. It's very stimulating getting back to a basic sort of lifestyle that terrain implies. Without effecened emotion and poisonous inhibition
  21. How VERY dare you! :duffer:
  22. 7.15 does sound a bit quick for a Datsun then.
