lazor detectors
I've got one - Snooper S4 IIRC. I've only been past one laser operated trap - one of those camera vans. It didn't go off but they might not have been set up and using the laser when I passed it. I certainly didn't get a ticket either.

Intermittent aircon squeel and boiling battery
Sounds like the reg/rec has failed.

Motorbike question
The MV F4 has to be the best looking bike ever. I move a lot of bikes around for work. IMHO a small number of well used straps is better than loads of them. There's a chance they'll rub the bike or the ratchets will bounce and scratch something or the pressure will bust a plastic lug or something.

Anyone Been To Tunisia ?
Went a few years ago (maybe 2001 or before?). Stayed somewhere on the Cap Bon Peninsula - could have been Hammamet? Hammamet is the most popular/biggest tourist resort in Tunisia with all the plusses and minuses that entails. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk will be best for hotel recommendations. The ancient settlement at Kerkouane was great if you like that sort of thing.

Motorbike question
I wouldn't put it on it's side. It may damage the panels / bars / indicators. I think the battery's a sealed one but oil and coolant might dribble out. If the battery's not sealed then acid would leak too. It's easy enough to strap them down with the bike upright - one ratchet strap each side going to something solid plus one mor round the front wheel.

ohhhh now that WAS big
She always told me big wheels looked good but ruined acceleration.

ohhhh now that WAS big
Isn't the bit on top an old Morris Traveller? I think my Gran had one of those. Hers had smaller wheels though.

Club Valuation
Can't say I really agree with these figures. Sorry. Judge each car on it's own merits IMHO.

Which glass for an import windscreen?
Well, having insured a car and a motorbike for 15 years and never claimed on 30 years worth of premiums, Ensign can cough up for the OE Japanese glass. Even if it is £1200. Cheers for the info chaps. :duffer:

Which glass for an import windscreen?
I'm going to get my cracked windscreen looked at. Looks like my insurance will pay for a repair or replacement (less £60 excess if it needs replacing). I remember reading the glass is a different colour on imports and UK cars. Mine's an import - any idea how the glass differs so I can make sure they fit the right sort if needed. Cheers!

Windscreen cracked.
Cheers mate, I'll give them a try then. :duffer:

Windscreen cracked.
Oops, yes, 'star' I'm fully comp but if I can get it done for under £50 there's something to be said for not involving the insurance company.

Windscreen cracked.
A stone hit me windscreen today - and cracked it. It's a star shaped crack about the size of a 2p in the wipers 'swept area'. Any idea where to get it repaired? And idea what a repair like that costs? Cheers folks. :duffer:

where do my taxes go
Agreed. Plenty of European counties only let people sign on for a few months. Here we let people do it for their whole lives.
