bugs
Like Marco I ride bikes and they seem to suffer worse than cars. Soaking with damp rags / kitchen paper works well. There are special insect removing products - Autoglym and GP Products both do them for example. A clay bar would get rid of the stubborn bits that remain after a normal wash. I'd recommend the soaking with wet rags though - Like Marco said. It works well and won't strip wax off.

just had a play on a r1 :-)
R1 is group 16 - one less than maximum so it won't be cheap. http://www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk seems about the best for bike insurance - or Carole Nash. You might need a brick garage or cat 1 alarm or they may not touch you. I had a couple of R1s a while back. Nice. Fast!

If you do go for Amsterdam, I'd highly recommend the Supperclub. http://www.supperclub.nl Not so much a restaurant as an avante-guard dining experience. So they say! Toilets are 'hetero and homo' rather than male and female and the food is excellent.

I'm a fan of the European city break and have done a fair few over the years. The one I'd suggest most of all is Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana. Ok, that sounds like eastern Europe but it's really central Europe - just to the right of Italy. Why? It's clean and cultured, there's plenty to see, it's a beautiful little city and all the good bits are in easy walking distance so you don't need to bother with public transport, location is pretty with the Julian Alps forming a picturesque backdrop, Easyjet fly there, it's pretty cheap (about a third of uk prices - the best hotels, bars, clubs and restaurants are very, very affordable - try that in Paris, Barcelona etc etc), the people are friendly, attractive, don't try to rip you off all the time and speak good English and it's not a popular tourist destination so there's no huge gangs of lads in footie shirts necking lager and shouting. Hightly, highly recommended. Best weekend away I've ever done with the wife. Otherwise: Amsterdam - nice, been there 15+ times - great for romance with the wife as well as drug fuelled trips with the lads Barcelona - also very nice, one of my favourites but milking tourists for money is big business there and gets wearing Brugge - never been Budapest - going soon Munich - never been New York - too far for a weekend Paris - lovely but very, very pricey Prague - going soon but filled with stag parties / hookers I hear Rome - see Paris/Barcelona Venice - see Paris/Barcelona

More than 4 drinks in one night and you're a problem drinker!
Something else to consider is six cans of export strength beer is about 15 units of alcohol - that takes the body 15 hours to get rid of it so there's a chance you might be over the limit the next morning when you drive to work.

More than 4 drinks in one night and you're a problem drinker!
I've heard the argument that 4+ units in one night adds to the chance you hav an accident or get mugged etc. The recommended weekly limits are 21 for a woman, 28 for a man. More than 4 units a day, every day and you have a problem. 1 pint of 4% beer = 2 units! Single spirit or 125ml glass wine = 1 unit. Last time the doctor asked when i drank and I told them 50-60 units a week they went nuts. I've cut down alot now. It's not easy - if it wasn't for the health risk I'd happily have six pints a night, every night. But that would make me an alcoholic and eventually kill me so I don't.

ok, don't flame me for what seems a daft question
It's meant to warn you if some of the brake light bulbs aren't working - yours probably aren't working as they've been converted to fog lights. Mine the same - and it's nothing to worry about.

How many passwords / PINs do you have?
I must have a daft number now. I'm a member of about five forums Two email accounts Ebay Pay pal Bank card pin Two credit card pins One on line banking password One phone banking pass word That's at least 14. I'm sure there's lots more too. Anyone have more? Anyone have trouble remembering them sometimes too?

Madeleine
I see the press asked Madeline's parents to deny they were involved in her disappearance! Madeleine's parents deny involvement in toddler's abduction By Ian Herbert Published: 07 June 2007 The parents of Madeleine McCann have been forced to deny involvement in their daughter's abduction, after a German journalist suggested their actions since her disappearance had led many people to suspect them. Kate McCann looked aghast and her husband Gerry's voice shook with emotion in response to a question by the radio journalist Sabine Müller at the start of the couple's visit to Berlin to raise awareness of Madeleine's disappearance 35 days ago. "More and more people seem to be pointing the finger at you, saying the way you behave is not the way people would normally behave when their child is abducted and they seem to imply that you might have something to do with it..." ...Later, the McCanns left for an emotional return to Amsterdam, where they lived until Madeleine was one. They will be flying back later today to the Algarve for a jazz concert in their daughter's name in Lagos, near the resort of Praia da Luz where she vanished. full story http://news.independent.co.uk/europe/article2621807.ece Reminds me of an episode of South Park.
