  1. Buy shares? Looks like they might be about to go up. I've got a working share account and could get some asap.

Back to back weekends might put me off going to both to be honest.
  3. Civil liberties / human rights are a mark of a decent society. The Daily Mail may terrorise its readers, claiming the country is overrun by 'darkies with guns' but it's just not true. Yes, our papers highlight the odd case where civil rights/human rights cause apparent problems or injustices but they tend to be isolated and in the main they're good things. Would you want to live under Sharia law? Have the death penalty and cut people's hands of if they stole? Imprisonment without trial etc? I agree with Vinni though that TV / films / computer games and the breakdown of the family unit are responsible for some of the problems facing today's society.
  4. 98 or 99 CBR900RR W or X. The "Las Vegas Elvis" FireBlade! :p Only joking - lovely looking bike mate.
  5. Loud exhausts have been illegal for years.
  6. Aye. Ilson. Me dook. :duffer:
  7. Aw God, I used to work at Granby Motors in Ilkeston. I think Combat18 had their head quarters there (Ilkeston, not Granby Motors!).
  8. What do you recon? Buy on Monday morning? Wait for the price to start going up then buy? Don't touch them with a barge pole? http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=NRK.L&t=3m&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=
  9. Yep, nice bike. No problems (unless you count the 16" front wheel - but you can get good tyres for it these days). Find a nice one and you won't go wrong. All the wide boys were buying R1s in 1998. Not in the same performance league as something like a GSX-R1000 but still a very rapid, useable, fun bike.
  10. Government guarantees savings up to £35K IIRC. Only question in my mind - is it worth buying shares in them now??? Might make a killing as the price is real low.
  11. I wouldn't say she's stupid. Not classy either though - about as far from it as is possible!
  12. The 2000/2001 Blade (929cc) is not the best regarded FireBlade. The fuel injection's snatchy. The 2002/03 (954cc) one is much better. If I was getting a Blade, that'd be the one I'd go for. Mileage is mileage - they're ok at higher miles but you have to start worrying about bushes, bearings etc etc SP2s are nice but they're a proper animal and very uncomfy on the road. And they cost much more than a Blade. I'd only buy one if i was going to do lots of track days - but they do look / sound awesome.

I could come along. Sort out any trouble makers, show you all how to drink etc etc. I'll give the snooty scout woman something to hang her towels on too. ;)
  14. It's not unreasonable of them to want to print the photos and get that issue on the shelves before giving them out - otherwise they may get posted on the net before they're in the mag.
  15. Glad they got it right this time. It was a shame when they shot & killed that Brazilian lad on the underground for looking a bit foreign.
  16. I went through there recently on my bike. Out of 11 countries I went though, Slovakia had the fittest women. I really enjoyed Bratislava if you get the chance to go there.
  17. They're fucking good but at three and a half hours each, they're too long. Still worth seeing though. I might take a bong and put one on now. :duffer: ;)
  18. Totaly agree with Lamp Shader. Make your car how you want, not to get in a magazine. If anyone's serious about getting their car in a japanese car magazine, give me a shout - I do the odd feature for one of the main mags. :) I think it needs to be a very good or distinctive car or have an 'angle' or be very relevant to lots of people. IMO anyway.
  19. Is your car ready to be featured? I imagine you'll need very big power or something interesting about you or the car to get it featured with stock wheels and untidy standard bodywork.
  20. This is what I think of Harry Potter. Lord of the Rings were very good. Not as good as some people say and they should have cut an hour our of each film - all too long.
  21. Arai say a lid has a useable life of 5-7 years and after that you should replace it - even if it's just sat on a shelf the air causes the polystyrene to harden and lessens the protective qualities. Mind you, they would say that!
  22. I was driven in a Supra the other day making about 600bhp. (He offered to let me drive it but it was damp and no traction so I let him drive). Wow - it was proper quick. I'm used to fast bikes but above 50mph I think this would be faster than R1s, GSX-Rs etc. It was very useable too - light clutch etc etc Have to say I was impressed. I still think my Zed looked better than it though!
  23. My NA's my daily drive. I can drive the wife's company car (all free except fuel) but after driving the Zed regular cars feel like kissing your sister.
  24. Me on a CBR at Estoril. That's five years ago now. Bet those leathers wouldn't fit any more. Also me on a Buell Ulysseys 1200cc, somewhere in Wales. I haven't got any information - just showing off. What year R6 do you want?
