  1. I don't know. The VW place used to fail my Mrs Polo on discs every year and replace them before they'd MoT her car. She only did 5000 miles a year in it.
  2. Oh you barsteward. I always think "I may be a p1sshead but at least StellaZ is worse." Can't use that excuse anymore. Seriously though, well done cutting down.
  3. Most common reason is the MoT station wants some work. Did you know there's 20 depots across the country that MoT busses. Their obliged to test your car if you book it in with them. And because they won't fix it if there are problems, THEY WON'T MAKE ANY UP.
  4. 24? Wow, you're young. I'm old enough to be your father... or a very, very close uncle. Mmmmm... excuse me.
  5. Mate the booze can't be doing it any good. I told the doctor what I drink a week and she went nuts. Think you're on more than me too. Gotta knock it on the head or seriously cut down. Otherwise you court hideous disease and an early death,
  6. Peterborough? I didn't think they were all that to be honest.
  7. Happy birthday Lil Pinky. We can't afford a Zed for you so we're sending Angus Glover over for the weekend instead in his 'nude butler' capacity.
  8. If it's overseas it doesn't count. I've seen lads running off the bus from the UK as soon as it pulled in to get to the red light district for their first pro of the weekend. 'Donkey Di' did six in two days once.
  9. There'll be no shortage of benders on this trip. :hyper: :nelson:
  10. Remember to put at least 35% aside for tax and national insurance so we can look after the folks that choose not to work, bless them!
  11. It must beat being stuck in front of a computer screen all day. Can you make a device to launch fruit from some spare piping and a can of easi start? I've seen some lash-ups that'll sent a potatoe miles like that and always wanted to make one.
  12. Get it on a Q-plate and get third party only - that's the man's choice. All insurance is a con. I'm sure you don't really get to keep the NCB if you do have a crash - they'll up your premium some other way. They'll say your gran had the wrong sort of window locks on her beach hut and the policy is void or something.
  13. Nice pay rise - sounds like the solicitering (is that the right term?) is going well! Congratulations.
  14. PMSL! I remember that. Didn't he look young? (as my gran would say).
  15. I thought we established this a while ago and it's me. I toppled the gang of northern shaved headed lads who like to hang out in the gym together from the position. If you want porn, batteries, snout or phone cards, you come to me. I'M THE DADDY!
  16. All well here - farmed out half a big job I have to do so that's a weight off my mind. Starlings crapping all over my car too at the moment. I'm hosing it down once a day. I'm tempted to poison the little fukkers or something.
  17. I have a 28" Sony Trinitron - it cost £1000 when we bought it - 20 years ago. Still looks good, still sounds amazing. Have to say these new big flat things look pretty sweet though.
  18. Welcome aboard mate. Do you have a Zed at the moment or are you just interested in them?
  19. I'd get them swapped. I think the Zed Centre sells them at a ridiculously cheap price.
  20. This sounds great but we'd need more information. If I'm being picked up by a tow truck and he says: "Where do you want to go?" And I say: "Round the corner from someone I know on the internet which specialises in MR2s", it may not really work.
  21. :) It's a great idea - someone needs to 'own and drive the project' (without wanting to slip into management *****x) or it'll fizzle away and not happen. Go for it. I'm not suggesting we make a list that deposes our offical traders - we all know they're the best in the country when it comes to Zeds. Just a handy list if you need something minor doing or break down and want to know somewhere to be trailered to who is basically competent. I remember taking my Z to a local garage. I could see them trying to get it on their ramp - it want smack, smack, smack as the front bumper kept hitting the ramp and they didn't seem to give a shyte. I took it away and never went back. I just want to know places that won't do this.
  22. We'd need to make this sticky and have some sort of format (ie name, exact location, phone number) and some idea of just how good with a Zed they are (competent, specialist etc).
  23. It would be really useful if we could get a list of places that are at least compenent with a Zed, recommended by members.
  24. Blue Flame in Skelmersdale (Lancs). I think it's under £400 for a full cat back system - your choice of back box styles. They'll fit if for £25 if you can get to them. I think they make Mongoose exhausts (and standard equipment for lots of big names like TVR, Bentley etc). Some folks on here had them and were very pleased.
