  1. Autos cost more. And they're the pimping choice. If you want to wizz round corners with the engine revving it's nuts off (and what does everyone say when they see someone doing that? Is it 'ohhh, they're impressive' or is it 'what a wnaker'?) then manual's the way forward. ;)
  2. Maybe the cars knows better? ;)
  3. Andy Duff knew his stuff (oohh, that rhymes!) I wouldn't want to comment on individual cases but he knew the Zed very well. He was very helpful too.
  4. Going above a 225 front can cause tramlining. Nice wheels mate!
  5. My 300 is my first auto. As a driving experience I prefer it. But given the choice I'd probably have a manual as they're supposed to be more durable and do more MPG. It's down to the individual really.
  6. Divorced.... fancy new bird..... big plasma TV.... new house...... you've got it all! (Not that I'm jealous)
  7. I'd be very (very!) open to offers of about half that amount on my 1999 NA - here in the UK and just had the cambelt service (done early). Pretty much like a brand new car.
  8. I was off to buy that XR400 so was heading out of town. See you soon bud.
  9. I've thought about this. I think a guy on a Toyota forum's done it with a TT Supra. Also several Lexuses. I heard there was problems as the LPG didn't lubricate the valve seats so could cause engine damage. You'd need to do 20,000 odd miles to recoup the cost and you'll loose maybe 10% of the performance. THat said, it might raise the value when you sell the car on.
  10. I thought he has two grey SWB - one turbo, one NA.
  11. I think getting the first one done can cost thousands.
  12. Peterborough, near Hampon Shopping centre, today (Saturday) about lunch time. In a grey SWB. If it wasn't you, it's someone very similar looking!
  13. I've seen a red TT on a T-plate. It was 99 specification but not the Version-R.
  14. Pilots are good tyres but there's several types. I have Pilot Roads on my Caponord - they're a good all-round sports touring tyre which means stable and warm up quickly. I can get my knee / pegs down no worries. You're probably being offered the Pilot Power - it's the next most sporty tyre in the range - an excellent sporty modern tyre you can do tracks days with, no problem. The Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power Race are too track orientated and won't warm up easily on the road plus will be unstable. £190 sounds ok for ride-in ride-out.
  15. Cheers Tpot. I'll see what the bike looks like. Iain £190 isn't bad mate. It depends on the tyres. And assume that's fitted? To the bike not loose wheels? Older design tyres are sold cheaper than the latest designs that perform much, much better. I'd be wary of tyres that were superceeded 3 years ago or before but lots of people sell them. A good place for tyres is http://www.fwr.co.uk - even just to look at prices. http://www.blackcircles.co.uk are actually quite good too. What make / model have you been offered mate?
  16. Top one mate. You are an upstanding bloke and I don't just mean becasue of this.
  17. Might go and look at a 1997 one tomorrow / Saturday. Want to knock about the local disused quarry with it. Anyone know anything about them? I've had road bikes and an RMX250 before. Cheers!
  18. Very tidy looking car and a very impressive spec. :duffer:
  19. I've been thiking of getting under my car and using that ACF50 fluid on as much as possible. Any thoughts?
  20. I videoed it when it was on telly and watched it recently. It was nothing like the other films. It was about a family with a flying car and a child catcher and Benny Hill was a toymaker. And there were loads of songs. Wierd. But better than the first two films.
  21. To be honest that new BMW535 diesel is an amazing car and f'ing quick.....
  22. Was it ever a standard colour?
  23. Happy birthday - have a great day :duffer:
