  1. What's all this then? We'll have no scrotching here!
  2. Crickey - I go for tea and you lot turn my agressive clique thread into a BDSM free for all!
  3. Right - I really am going for my tea now.
  4. We'd need a man on the inside - a man who can make things happen - a man of considerable and varied tallents, including the ability to consume enormous amounts of 'strong, continental lager' ;)
  5. Got to go for my tea now - no forming an aggressive clique without me and hounding me out of the forum while I'm eating.
  6. Come on Scoopsy - I can see your tempted! Think of the power!
  7. I didn't have anyone in mind to hound out, I just liked the idea of forming an agressive clique!
  8. Agressive cliques are the mainstay of so many forums. Maybe we could form one that was just a little bit cliquey and slightly rude now and then?
  9. We could then hound someone out of the forum. Get a bit of discipline back in this place. Marshall law. You know what I'm talking about! ;)
  10. Mine will get used through winter - ACF50 to protect everything that might suffer. I think garaging it helps too as it doesn't sit wet and salty for days and days.
  11. My experience of car salesmen is that they're not afraid to LIE LIE LIE LIE to sell a car. Just my opinion - no offence to any car salesmen out there. I'm not knocking the job - it's something I've thought about going into and think it could be a good career.
  12. I have been looking towards a job in car sales for a couple of years now. The prospect of selling Alfa Romeos and Fiats really appeals to me as there is a great sense of history and tradition involved with these brands. I feel that Italian cars are designed where as other manufactures merely produce. No apostrophe in 'Alpha Romeos' (they don't own anything nor is an abbreviation - it's a plural). Also 'merely' - spelling. If I was applying I'd go big on stuff like: 'achieve high sales and maintain impeccable customer service', 'keen to help customers get the right car on the day', 'drive business while keeping customers loyal'. ie - all about selling loads of cars fast AND keeping customers happy. That's what they want IMHO.
  13. Just say you're car enthusiast and don't go into too much detail. I used to work in the bike trade and my experience of the car trade is similar - plenty of salesmen have no interest in the cars - they're just salesmen. Wen I used to work in a motorbike shop our salesman couldn't tell one bike from another - he was just very good at getting people to hand over their money. Good luck with it however you play it.
  14. They've been handing out the clever pills down there in the west country along with the scrumpy tonight then? ;)
  15. Ohh... I was going to say Filey too. That's where the File-O-Fax was developed.
  16. My cooker's gone mad - the gas hob igniter things. Every 10 seconds or so they all fire off themselves. I've checked the controls aren't stuck or anything simple like that. Any idea what could be wrong? I've found a wall switch which turns them off so they stop but it's not ideal.
  17. I'd guess £50 million +++ And if you don't know who to go to, you probably don't have the contacts to make it happen.
  18. 58,000 on my 1999 car. Had the cambelt service done last year :)
  19. Give me a Lambert light and a can of Carling anyday. ;)
  20. Sounds like a stolen car or pissed driver or both. Staying out of their way sounds like the right thing. Makes you worry if you're coming round a bend quick someome like that might be in your lane or something.
