I have for sale a Brand new OEM EFI Wiring Loom to fit a 300ZX TT Manual part Number B4011 31P61. This is for an early model car with the first gen PTU and injector connectors (square type). Also included is a 'loom saver' which is an adapter that fits between the loom and the ECU about 8in long, If you need to splice in any accessories you splice into this instead of the new loom. looking for £400 for the 2 items. Also have a Leader Gears 4:10 Ring and Pinion set also new, open to serious offers for this bit of kit, (Will need professionally fitted) Was intending to keep these items for my next Z but came off my Drag race bike and wrecked it, have rebuilt it but need to purchase some bits that are kinda expensive Its a Turbo Hayabusa that kicks out 513bhp cost a fortune to build, it had to be rebuilt.

I dont think you need to be concerned about the freezing temp. If you were to use it without any dilution with water the freezing temp protection is greatly reduced. Rough mixture is 50/50. Retry your experiment but mix it 50/50 with water and see what happens, if I am correct it will still be liquid. It also raises the boiling point of the water to protect the engine when it gets a bit hot. The higher running temp is more likley to be because the engine will still be "tight" as the bearing/contact surfaces on your enginge are not bedded in yet and will be generating more heat untill they are "run in" and reach the correct tolerances, then it will run cooler. have fun Ed

I wish i had read this post before last October, I had not long finished a major rebuild and this happened at full throttle dont know how fast i was going but was in 3rd gear and approaching a sharp bent which went over a bridge. turned the key back but engine did not cut as i had wired the turbo timer wrong (did not earth to the handbrake lever). Took off from the bank at the side of the road through a fence and landed in a field with a well bent wing half the exhaust ripped off and a broken windscreen and in urgent need of clean underwear. Now cable tied and sealed.

Jesus a Yam Fizzy, now that brings back memories I remember how excited i was when i got mine back in 1979, was up all night as i could not sleep was at the Yamaha dealer 1hr before they opened in the morning standing outside with my new crash hat raring to go. Ed

Take a length of 4mm vac hose push it onto the black plastic conection on the top. Then splice it into the vac hose using a tee piece that comes out of the rear of the valve, basicly you are joining the two vac lines together. When vacuume is supplied to the top part of the DV it helps keep the valve closed, when it sees boost it opens. It stops the DV creeping open before its ment to open. Ed

Have you looked at the check valve thats on the vac hose that comes off the balance bar? Is it installed the correct way, the balance bar end is the end thats at a 90deg to the main body of the valve. From the clutch booster side you should be able to blow through it but not suck through it. Not 100% sure its your problem but it could be. Ed

Hi Colin, I am still alive but have not been to crail for a while (major rebuild) just about ready to do it all again though, will be at the Banzai meet. Do you know by any chance someone who can fit a ring and pinion gear set to a diff, dont want to try it myself incase i get it wrong. ED
