  1. Bird real steel do a wet kit put together specially for a Z32 cost is under £500 made by Holley Nos includes everything you need.
  2. Mac you will get a cylinder from Alex at the web address below http://www.nitrousoxidesupplies.co.uk/ I dont think you will get a cheaper price in the uk. an 11lb cylinder comes in at about £145 if you want one of the holley nos cylinders Real Steel is your best bet as mentioned by Smithy. Alex also sells the gas for a good price as well.
  3. think it was chris from get greddy
  4. :headvswal IMHO they are both a challange, the reason I want to go for TOTB is because it is supposed to represent all the car clubs in the UK, each club puts an entry together of the fastest cars from the club, then there are three sections to score points in 1/4 mile, handling and top speed run. There has never been a 300zx in the comp which is a shame as there are plenty of supra, gto, celica, subaru, eve'o, etc. I was asked once why I never entered TOTB before i could give an answer someone said the comp was for cars not boats, so I am going to enter in 2006 to shut a few people up like i did on Mach 06 this year at a performace Ford day at Crail with 1/4 mile times of 12.7 and two at 12.8. Even if I have to enter as a private entry I'll be there, one other point TOTB is an official event with no estimated figures on power and speed just true performance and results. I hope MAC1 does make it next year Its not possible for me to match the spec of his car but i can bet you I wont be last, cant wait to line up with another 300 at TOTB, and they will both be RED :D :D :D :D :D
  5. What about Crail 27th Nov, just a thrash day so not too many cars.

Sorry for covering your car (and Scots) with oil (free rustproofing) by the time i got back to Aberdeen it was well bad, looks like turbo has gone to meet its maker!. Never mind these things happen just means ripping car apart (again) as luck would have it just happen to have a spare set of rebuilt tubs. had fun today though apart from the smoke, really must make the effort to tidy the car though every time i go to a meet i feel like parking up in the corner out of sight, good to meet everyone looking forward to the next one ed

Driving to work yesterday in the Z and all of a sudden smoke (blue and lots of it) it was so bad other cars were backing up as they thought i was on fire!. Well there is no way i want to miss the Jedburgh run so have taken time of work to sort it out, closer inspection identified oil was coming from the front of the engine runing along the lower side of the pelum and onto the turbo (hence lots of smoke). Just back from the workshop having found the cause th be the exhaust cam seal had disloged itself????, will have it back together by tommorow afternoon (just happened to have a spare set of cam seals). Good job it happened now and not Satuarday. See you guys Sunday Ed

:smash: Anyone going?, will be going for it in the red bus in the rwd class. max boost, max timing advance, max nos (160bhp shot right off the line), alll with new launch control setup, its going to be do or die, but its going to be fun.
  22. fraser gtti I have a cozult, been using it on a regular basis for over a year now, would be glad to check your motor if you are anywhere near Aberdeen.
  23. If auto's are quicker on the 1/4 mile than the manual version my car must think its an auto, if you want a quicker Z you need to get your torque figure up at lower rpm as the BHP does not come in to the running untill the motor is pulling high rpm. In an ideal setup as the torque curve starts to drop off at say 5000rpm the BHP curve would still be climbing steeply up to say 7000rpm before starting to drop get this on a dyno graph and you will have a very quick Z.
  24. Had a not so good day but still managed to qualify in the rear wheel drive class, was away to line up for my third run and all of a sudden bang! a big backfire in the inlet manifold that blew the sides off the drivers side intercooler, hence slowest 1/4 mile ever some 31 sec. First run was 13.285 good enough to get thru to finals on 21st Aug. fastest qualifier rwd car was 13.084 and slowest was 13.532, i've had a 12.7 and two 12.8's this year so things are looking good for the finals http://www.crailraceway.co.uk/records.asp

  getting the same feeling, are you going to crail on the 29th May (USSC qualifiers) my car is running the best it has ever done quite confident of beating previous best of 12.7sec (6th March 2005)
