going for a blast sounds good, dont think you can beat the sight of a dozen or so Z32's in convoy. count me in whatever is decided
  2. seen a similar problem on a mates 300zx tt, it turned out to be the air flow meter (afm). It does not always show up a fault code when faulty- it is still working but sending incorrect voltage to ecu. best bet is to find someone near with a Z and swap afms only takes 10 min to change tt and na use the same afm
  3. pml ah! that explains it then.
  4. I take it 1/4 mile times do not count if you run them in Scotland then.
  5. well done, bet that put a smile on your face for a while
  6.  me me me   well done chunk you will get there, with that ET and that terminal speed your motor seems to be set up perfectly, hope you dont mind but here is something i've learded (maybe you know this anyway) one of the ways to get the extra tenths is tyre pressure and wheel dia, if you have larger than std dia wheel get some 16's on the front (less rollling resistance), on tyre pressure dont lower the rear tyre pressure to much it will give more traction on take off but it will slow your terminal speed a bit and you may loose a few tenths, there is a fine line between the right and not so right settings and they differ between cars so the only way to set-up is practise. hoping you dont mind my rant you maybe do this allready not trying to teach you to suck eggs if you know what i mean. have fun next post from the pod i want to see 12's or i'am going to have to come down and show you how its done. ed

Crail next weekend (April 3rd) would be a good meet,Banzai mag are in attendance looking for the best jap motors for a feature in the mag. if its anything like last year it will be well worth making the effort to go along.
  8. was not the fastest, there is this guy up here (Charlie Shaw) who is known to build some very fast cosworth's the latest one is a Focus works shell with a sierra back end and front struts a one off turbo mental engine mods everywhere (700bhp) think he ran in the high 11's then i think it was me but will have to check the times when Crail post them up on their website.
  9. car is a manual (red)-sorry DTA motor sport chip 15psi boost via AVCR RPS flywheel Helix ceramic plate clutch Dastek piggy back fuel ecu Hks dump valves and a shot of giggle gas thats all the perfomance bits i can think of everything else is std

Hii Scotty things went real bad did not have time to set the car up properly, every time i changed gear the launch control would kick back in and cut the revs back to 4000rpm, should have had a sw on it to turn it off when you get going, did not fit the nos either. best time was a dissapointing 13.9 odd
  13. the link cable plugs into the usb port on each computer

Hi Scotty I think it depends on who sets up the dastek unit as each car would be different as the car needs to be run on a dyno to set them up also depends on the chip in the ecu at the time i have a DTA chip from Eric and i am well happy with the result, if you make it on Sunday you can judge for yourself.

 Anyone else comming to crail this Sunday? just had the car tweeked with a Dastek Unichip piiggy-back ecu c/w launch control, got hold of a pair of Hoozier drag tyres (should keep wheelspin in check) and a 100hp shot of laughing gas. Dont know what 1/4 mile time will be but should be interesting if it stays in one piece.
