  12. Did not have the slicks on that event had plenty nos though Dont know what times i'll get this year there is so much that can go wrong on the day, the diff ratio i have this year is an unknown factor i just know the car is faster the auto engine seems to pull a lot stronger hooked up with the lightweight flywheel and manual trans, the dta chip from eric seems to like it better than the manual engine (but i'll make sure i have some flavored pants ready foir the end of season)
  13. March 6th 2005 crail raceway Ed Davies http://www.crailraceway.co.uk/select_run.asp?CarNumber=9&RunDate=20050306 run 124 = 12.767 run 139 = 12.860 run 497 = 12.890 times are still up on web site see link above or maybe you have to be south of the border to qualify and this year those times are going to tumble as the shed is a lot quicker this time round (or i will eat my underpants on the start line at crail oin the last meet of the year)

  15. The hoses are new uprated ones that Smithy sells so hoses and clips are good will try a new oem filter
  16. :headvswal I have a rather dangerous problem with my car at the moment, the main fuel line is slipping / popping off the fuel filter when the car is running spraying the engine bay with fuel how this never ended in disaster is pure luck. This has happened twice now. Has anyone had this problem before?. I have not had a chance to check for a blockage or anything yet as its snowing outside. after the first time i made sure the hose was tight but it still came off.
  17. I'll be there
  18. To be on the safe side no more than 35% of std power output unless your engine has modified internals.
  19. just happen to have a rusty knife in front of me, where do you want it sent?
  20. I had the same problem a while back, It was caused by the glove box light switch, caused by the live wire shorting out on the catch when the glovebox was closed.
  21. Hi Fas I would go for the Holly Nos kit (they make a kit tailored for the 300zx :- part No 05117nos). Also make sure you get a bottle heater this is very impotant as with the Nos and most other kits bottle pressure needs to be 950psi a bottle temp at 85f will give this pressure, this ensures correct nos/fuel mix for a given size of nos/fuel jet. Mount the nozzles in front of the throttle plates (about 5in is ideal but needs modification to the boost hose, this helps the mix to distribute more evenly in the manifold). Make sure the fuel pressure can be maintained at full throttle when the nos fuel solenoid is flowing fuel. A progressive controller is not essential for under 100hp but its your choice. A stronger clutch is recommended a std one wont last long. Try not to use the nitrous below 3000rpm. (only use at full throttle). Very iimportant Make sure your EGR system is working correctly, if it is not working as it should hot exhaust gas (1100f) can enter the intake, fuel self ignites at about 850f, so if you engage the nitrous when the EGR is faulty a big expolsion in the intake results and will probably blow the intercoolers apart. A 10lb bottle when you are using jetting for 100bhp will only last 1 min before it needs refilled (about 7 runs on the drag strip). Refills can be expensive depending where you get it from you are best to get a 50 litre supply and do your own refills it works out a fraction of the cost compared to a retail fill. hope this info is some use to you Ed
  22. oops my email is ed.davies1@btinternet.com
  23. drop me an email with your home email address and i'll give the details also have an Afm & K&N induction
  24. Hi Bud I have been using nitrous for about 2 1/2 years, I have tried all sorts of jetting combinations, also fitted and tuned a few kits, also sell refills. There are a few things that are impotant when using nitrous on a 300 tt, If you like I will give you a phone and go over what you need. (Pulling hard acceleration in 3rd gear then you hit the nos switch and get an instant 125hp increase and about a 130ft/lb increase in torque, can be addictive.)
