Anyhow Just a quicky my mate has a set of the older style hks dump valves and is a but confused about something....

on the picture below there is a vacume connection coming from the rear of the valve (left of the valve in pic) which we know where to connect to. but the question is, on the top of the valve there is another connection we think, black plastic on the top of the valve what is this for? and does it need to be connected to anything? weve had a think but cant work it out, and we cant find any info online neither. cheers

No It doesnt look like an adjuster, it's just a kind of plastic vacume inlet/outlet thing....It's completely stumped me....is your the same DV?

Take a length of 4mm vac hose push it onto the black plastic conection on the top. Then splice it into the vac hose using a tee piece that comes out of the rear of the valve, basicly you are joining the two vac lines together. When vacuume is supplied to the top part of the DV it helps keep the valve closed, when it sees boost it opens. It stops the DV creeping open before its ment to open.
