  1. Hi Bud, the bracket you sent me a link for, was that ok in the end I assume so?
  2. When an auto has been converted to a manual should the timing be changed to 15°BTC or left at 35°BTC? I have removed the auto ECU and fitted a fuse box loom from a manual.
  3. I'll call them today and ask how much notice, I would need to do Aug 1st as away on other dates.
  4. If we decide there let me know as I know the two guys that own it, do we have a fixed date yet?
  5. I know but thought as it was friday thought you could have a :slap:;) Should of heard it with only a downpipe on!!!!!
  6. Hmmm, not sure on that one and if it's the only veilside you like then I don't think you'll look the next. Unfortunately trying to find a 2nd hand one is tricky. I could post a link to it but might wait until it's painted and fitted until I reveal it!
  7. Well that's not very nice is it! :slap: Doesn't sound so bad now and when I set it up tomorrow with conzult after the timming is done it will be much better
  8. oops, edited. BTW way you'll be glad to hear I have a different front bumper coming, not quite to you subtle taste but less in your face than the current one;)
  9. Found it, Jimmer gave me a few ideas and one was right. Washer off the crank pulley belt- I forgot to put it on:headvswal
  10. Hard to believe when you hear it, bit like when you heard Diana had died!
  11. The 2nd one doesn't look like a TT one to me.
  12. So I'll have to drive it hard all the time then!
  13. Challenge time!! Didn't make small primaries for nothing :p
  14. Do the +ive first, if the car works you know its that supply. If not then look at -ve
  15. But my superior driving skills will compensate for the extra 31mm:tongue:
  16. I had the same issue but with the coil packs and spent 2-3 weeks trying to find it and Jeff's advice was a godsend. I had to bridge connectors to make a tempoary feed which proved that the fault was in a power supply wire, after proving that the fault was found quickly and proved to be a broken wire! The fuses I think Jeff is talking about are in the engine bay on the drivers side at the back, there are about 6 I think.
  17. 324mm, got the same type for the back to 285mm
  18. Thanks for the help with these, owe you beer if your at JAE ;)
  19. As the car is hopefully going to be fast I thought I'd better sort some brakes so have gone for same calipers as funkyb and 350 discs but have EBC ones with yellow stuff pads!
  20. Did you get your EVO calipers fitted with the 350 discs (assume they were 325mm).
  21. As this works using an electrical signal would you get a speed reading with a manual car being towed with ignition off? Want to check before I pull things apart.
  22. Best place is to get it from the US, expect it to cost between £250-£300. Not a hrad job but allow 2-4hrs depending on how good you are with a spanner. You also have to disconnect the air con so allow for regassing costs to.
  23. Video of the engine running now, first minute is just it running. Then about about 11 seconds from the end there is a metallic noise from the crank pullet area then about 6 seconds from the area the download goes funny  but you can hear for a few seconds. Anyone have any ideas as what it is? Car sounds great apart from that
  24. In a week a might be able to get up to you, I have a spare CAS and PTU you can try. My issue was no live to the coils, different I know but I could have a poke about.
