  1. I need a quick fix to get the car mobile for now, a set of 10mm spacers isn't really going to raise much cash!
  2. I know I should use those but haven't got that kind of cash at the moment and the car is stuck on axle stands at the moment:(
  3. Where's the best place to get some, I need them 15mm longer so I can space the wheels out to clear the new brake caliper.
  4. Who said chocolate isn't bad for you http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20090708/twl-man-dies-after-falling-into-chocolat-3fd0ae9.html
  5. No worries, the sensor is moulded into the tank so you need to change the whole thing. If you need one let me know... I have contacts!
  6. Tap water is fine for a quick fix depending on how much. The Mk4 does use a recommended additive I think, it was G15 or something on earlier Mk3's if you are putting in alot of water in then 1st chance you get find the additive and add some.
  7. Same on all types Golf, Polo, Leon, Ibiza etc. If the engine is warm put in warm water, from memory there are fill marks on it.
  8. Expansion Tank of the left hand side of the engine bay, white round bottle with a blue cap.
  9. I think Stellaz going to :cry::cry::cry:
  10. When you get old your eyesight goes and you need bigger print :x:
  11. If you come down I can test the ecu on mine and lend you a CAS to take back and try?
  12. They have plenty of slots at the moment, cost is £35/car for a power run for 15-35 cars.
  13. From memory conzult showed 15btc, I had assumed it should be 15btc as the using a manual fusebox loom meant all the plugs went straight into the efi and gearbox loom with no splicing needed?
  14. Email sent :D
  15. Corrosion on brake pipes is a failure and cleaning them isn't good enough to pass a retest.
  16. Brake line is the rear which is an arse to do!
  17. I know the brake line is an arse so a plan- Jack it up and underseal the whole car making sure you paint the brake line, get a 2nd hand shock with spring from a breaker on here. Then get a MOT done somewhere else as going back for a retest the undersealing won't be good enough for the corrosion and I think that is the expensive job. Should be under £100 and less than a days work. Welcome to the club by the way!
  18. You did well to get 7 guys, we can't more than about 3-4 at the Welsh meets!
  19. They run different on idle.
  20. There are a load of coolant/breather hoses on the underside of the plenum that always make it hard to remove. You might as well cut the smaller coolant ones and do a bypass. Search for plenum bypass
