  8. One last attempt to get a meet going in South Wales, there is a RR day at Power Station on the 7th of November. Anyone up for it?
  9. I work for a manufacturer of parts for the motorsport and tuning industry as a Sales/Technical Manager. So get to mess around with cars quite a bit, I was at Palmer Sport this week look at the F2 cars they build. Also get to travel for shows to Germany and US as well as UK. Then on the weekend I ref ice hockey all over the UK
  10. Repost  But still funny!
  11. Didn't mean to, due to the map issue it wasn't going past 3k but for some reason it managed to get past that and the turbo kicked and caught me out :slap: To make it worse some bloke pulled out in front of me as it was going full chat, ABS not wired in yet = 2 massive tyre skid marks down the road
  12. Think I'll go with that then and save the money!!
  13. The drive I had last week when the single tub spools up the car is rapid and the revs climb very quickly and keep climbing and I would rather pay more attention to the road than the rev counter. It still pulls past 6500-7000 which is a bit close to the mark for my liking without a safety net! Once the mapping is done I think the problem will be worse as the big flat spots will be gone.
  14. It's the Capacitor Discharge type ignition units bit I'm stuck on, should make that bit clear as I have no idea what type the Z runs either??
  15. Just need to check if this is ok http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MICRO-DYNAMICS-DASH-MOUNTED-REV-LIMITER-RL5-MAC_W0QQitemZ200389450082QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item2ea8245962&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 As I've no idea what this means 'MicroDYNAMICS’ ‘SmoothCut’ Rev Limiters are NOT compatible with Capacitor Discharge type ignition units'
  16. http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/06102009/36/lucky-escape-ferrari-smash-pair-0.html
  17. Makes the boost leaks I had look trivial!!

Not quite there yet mate, the map still isn't working so it needs another version. Between 2000-3500 it just doesn't run properly so it is a struggle to get the turbo to boost. BUT, when it doesn't spool up f@@k me it goes!!! Had heat soak issues to so just wrapping the manifolds and turbo today. Just need the new chip and hopefully it will work but until then it's garaged
  19. True and if it is darker than that then they are commiting an offence so can't pull you anyway :p
  20. It's difficult to find a style to suit but I may have to get some done if it's the only way to reduce temperature. I was hoping other may have put up some suggestions/pics?
  21. Do you mean the nose cone? I have one of those but as the fuse box and ptu are under there I can't use it. Unless you mean you do bonnet vents?
