  1. Me too! They look really good.
  2. OK thanks. I'm going to give it another go tomorrow. I'm pissed wet through, cut to ribbons and its almost pitch black. A typical day working on the zed!!!:D Stu.
  3. Yea, step 7 on the guide : http://www.ttzd.com/tech/clutchtech.html
  4. I've been trying to replace my clutch today. Exhaust came off easily, so did the starter, managed to remove all the bolts out off the bell housing as well. I've now spent 3 f**king hours trying to wiggle the gearbox out...and i've brought it to the edge of the fly wheel. What the f**k have i missed? I'm following the tt.net guide on clutch replacement but the gearbox just won't come off. Is it better to disconnect everthing and take the gearbox out or it it just a case off wiggling some more? Should i have the gearbox dropped down on the jack or should i try to pull it off level? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Stu.
  5. Mr Duff, any chance of you doing mine???? How much etc?
  6. I'm getting a new RPS Clutch soon, along with a new rear main seal and a SGP Racing bearing. I was thinking of taking a couple of days off work to have a go myself cos i'd rather not take it to a garage seeing as i've never done a zed clutch and i wan't to see what its like to do. Do i need any special tools at all? Or can a well stocked garage with the usual kind of assortment of tools do? Seeing as i'm not changing the flywheel would i need to get the old one skimmed before i put the new clutch on? Anything else i'm blissfully unaware of:confused: Thanks, Stuart.
  7. The one at the honda garage is a 1997, or so the bloke told me when i went to look at it. They're shit but still look nicer than the zeds though!

  9. i've got a picture with s/steel hardpipes if your interested.
  10. lets hope they don't do a sequel and goose it up like blade 2 tho:D
  11. Yea good film, and Kate Beckinsale.....I did it in my pants! Good point about Leicester square tickets. They are a rip off and the cinemas are sh1te as well. Manchester cinemas are much better. £5 for the ticket and you get your own big ass sofa/seat to watch it in!:D
  12. Mines a girl, but a really butch lesbian-brickie kinda girl!:D
  13. i know the feeling;) It's not that tho....usually i enjoy repairing the Zed myself, but for some reason i'm a lazy t*at at the moment and can't be arsed:rolleyes:
  14. Where would be the best place to take a 1992 non-turbo import in the NW for a new water pump, supply and fit?
  15. i wasn't going to go for second hand wheel bearings! Its just i didn't fancy paying nissan prices!
  16. I need a new front wheel bearing. Where would be the best place to get one from? I was thinking that nissan might be a bit expensive for a change! Thanks, Stuart.
  17. Take a CO2 Fire extinguisher and spray it on the front of you I/C and rad before your run. I may be wrong but i think it cools them down, hence more power? I'd go but the car won't do more than 0 mph at the mo and i just get jealous of everyones moving zeds:cry: Thanks, Stuart
  18. cool, thanks. Could be worse you could be ginger!;)
  19. oh!!!!!!!!! I thought that if you put a 5mm spacer plate on the wheel its the same as getting a 35 offset instead of a 40?.......or am i just on a different planet completly????????????????:D
  20. i'm ok on that bit. Its just they were on about the zed has a 112 hub size and the wheels have 114 hub size:confused: Also some have said 35mm offest and others have said 40mm offset?is it that important? Thanks, Stuart
  21. What offset and Hub size is recommended for a UK TT? I've bitten the bullet and i'm going for a new set of alloys but the 3 places i've contacted have given me 3 different sets of info. I want 17 inch wheels to fit 225 front tyres and 265 rear cos i've already bought them before the wheels:D Thanks, Stuart.
  22. oh ok. I'm going to do a full service on it anyway. Flush the engine and radiator, new brakes, handbrake, fuel filter etc so i'll see if it solves it. Does anyone know where i can get Castrol 10 - 60 RS oil from cos no shops around me sell it? Thanks.
  23. yea it does speed up with the engine. Tappets will be under the plemum wont they?:( I've only just taken that off about 2 months ago! Any info on what they should be set at? Thanks
  24. when my car's cold there's a loud rattling sound coming from the engine. It almost sounds like when you shove a piece of paper in a desk fan! I'm due a oil change soon, will that cure it? I can't see anything visibly catching on the fan. Once the engine warms up the noise disappears. Thanks, Stuart.
